Florida Weather Today: Hi temp 73 degrees, precip 0
We woke up with plans to hit DHS at rope drop. Unfortunately the Disney transportation system did their very best to undermine our attempts.

We met up with Dsis and her family (outside our door, their room was next to ours) and got to the bus stop in plenty of time, or so we thought. We waited…and waited…and waited….I counted busses. 5 AK busses stopped, 5 MK busses stopped, 3 Epcot busses…where was the DHS bus???? Well I didn’t just sit there and wonder, I started going up to every single bus and pestering the driver. Of course they all told me “oh, it’s the bus right behind me!” Until finally one woman listened and I heard her tell dispatch. Finally after 45 min. the bus showed up! I’m telling you, it’s a good thing we weren’t in a hurry or things could’ve gotten ugly. In fact, I’m sure they did get ugly, we were the first stop at our resort and there were 3 more stops in the route. The DHS bus filled up after 2 stops. You should’ve seen the faces on the poor people at the 3rd stop when we just drove by without stopping. They’d probably been waiting just as long. The bus driver tried to signal the angry mob that another bus was on the way. If only they had listened to me the FIRST time I nagged a bus driver.
We made it to DHS only a little after rope drop. DH was sent on a mission to get FPs for TSMM. Dsis got ahead of me (maybe because I was pausing for some not so great DH-less but dangit I’m getting my money’s worth photopass photos). I think someone's mad because he didn't get to go with his daddy.

ETA: There's my sister in the background! I just noticed that!
I think we told DH we’d meet him by the hat which worked out well because HSM was just finishing up and Lily and my niece needed to do a little dancin’. (while Seth apparently stuffed his pockets with confetti).
Our first ride was ToT. Now DH seemed to be in an all out rush to GO THERE NOW so off I went, in the lead, pushing the stroller. I get to the entrance and turn around and only see Jayden walking with me. But who’s coming down the path? Is it the rest of my family??? Oh no no no, it's a group of 500 Brazilian girls! I can’t say whether or not they were cheerleaders, they did not subject us to any actual cheering. My first instinct is to jump in line but DH is not even answering his phone, so all 500 of them file past me.

Finally up the path comes the rest of my group snacking on oranges.

This was our only real argument of the trip. DH is always the one racing from ride to ride, never letting me look around or shop, and here he is snacking on an orange telling me “I told you I was stopping, I had to get my vitamins!”

I don't think it counts if you "tell" me when I have my back to you and I'm pushing a stroller through a crowd of people!
Lily managed to be tall enough for ToT.

She was excited to go on it until we walked into the building and it was kinda spooky. She didn’t get scared though, just less enthusiastic. I think she kind of liked the ride! (She may look a little scared in the photo, but the rest of the trip she kept asking to go back on "Towa of Terra" or it's alternate name the "up down up down" ride.) I had to buy the photo of her first “big girl” ride. (Don’t tell DH, he walked out of the dump shop ahead of me and said “Don’t buy ANYTHING!” So of course I bought it and had it sent to our resort so I walked out of there with nothing in my hands.)

That made me feel a lot better over the whole “I need my vitamins” incident. It’s not like we hadn’t eaten breakfast before we left.
Next we moved on to Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster. Luke was really sad because he was not tall enough to go on it. Not even close really. With all the stroller swappin’ going on, we (our group) went about 4 or 5 times. Of course I only went once. I spent the rest of the time waiting with kids, at times, too many kids! Or I should say too many babies in strollers! As I’m sitting there with 2 little girls in strollers, a man in an
ECV parks right next to us and starts to smoke. In the babies’ faces. I couldn’t push both strollers at once to move them, and the 3 boys I had my eyes on were not much help. And wait, I have rights here! I ever so politely informed him where the actual SMOKING AREA was located. I thought of Sally Miss Cammie!
Now our friends were also at DHS this day. Do you think it is easy to meet up with someone when you don’t get to the park at the same time? I realized on this trip that it is almost impossible, for even if you do meet up, someone has a fastpass, someone else has already done everything you haven’t and vice-versa. We did manage a quick meet up outside the Great Movie Ride where we made plans for later in the afternoon.
Jessica made all the cool Jedi Mickey and Leia Minnie shirts!
Then we, meaning my family and Dsis’ family, went on the Great Movie Ride. I had only been on this once before and it was 8 years ago so I didn’t remember much. It was fine, a nice break. After the ride my family had ADRs at Sci-Fi Diner. We walked in the door and Pal Mickey started telling us about the diner. It was fun. We were seated in a car right up front.
I have to say we had amazing service at this meal! Our waitress was excellent!

We were all so tired, it was really relaxing to just sit there in the air-conditioned semi-darkness. The kids had a giant screen to lull them into the TV trance.
(Luke loves his ketchup! So I made him a "hidden Mickey" because he loves those too.)
We barely moved. It was so nice. The waitress said “So, is it your 3rd day?” I had to stop and think for a minute, then realized “yes actually it is.” “Ahhhh,” she says, “it always hits on the 3rd day.”

I’m assuming she meant the glazed over look on our faces. I had a burger and a shake as I’ve been instructed by the Disboards in general. It was good. The onion rings weren’t bad either. Luke had most of my shake.
After lunch we met back up with Dsis and used our FPs for TSMM. I love this ride! We’d been on it before at
Disneyland and it is a family favorite. I don’t know why but it just makes me laugh, all that shooting and spinning. I like it so much better than Buzz because I feel like I can actually do it, unlike Buzz where I pretty much feel like an idiot because I can’t even figure out what I’m aiming at, let alone hit the target. But that’s a personal problem, I get that.
