Hello there DIS Boards!!!
Wow it's been a long time since I've been on here.
Why, you ask?
Well the last time I was at Disney was for my 18th birthday trip, and I'm about to turn 21 soon!

So, needless to say it's been awhile since I've seen any Disney magic.
BUT, that's all about to change!!!!!

My dad suggested going to Disney about 2 months ago and all the final plans were booked today!!!:banana::banana:

Now, if you've read my older trip reports you might know that that's a little strange...My dad...suggesting a trip to DISNEY?!?!
Yes, that's right folks, I live with and am related to a non-Disney lover, aka my dad. Really I think he just suggested this trip because he's so sick of winter now and really loves Florida. But hey if he wanted to go to Disney too, who am I to complain???!!!!:lmao:

Now for the details of the trip...
When? March 1-March 6
Where? Fort Wilderness Campground (Yep, we're camping. Not my first choice but my dad loves to camp, it's cheaper, and really I would sleep in a box if it meant I got to be at Disney!)
Why? My spring break! And I'm guessing this will be for my birthday as well since I will turn 21 at the end of March!:cool1:

So who's going on the trip?

Me- Clarice or Reese as my friends call me!

I'm a junior at CNU down in Southern VA. I'm a Communications major and a Business minor. I of course love ALL THINGS DISNEY, and classify myself as a Disney freak:thumbsup2 Lately, my obsession has been Frozen to be specific. I've seen the movie 9 times so far and is now my absolute favorite movie ever.
Favorite park? MK of course!
Favorite ride? ROCK N ROLLER COASTER (I'm a HUGE Aerosmith fan!)
Favorite Disney food? Mickey waffles!! yum!
Favorite character? Now it's Anna & Elsa (Yes I totally plan on waiting 3 hours to meet them!)

My dad

Definitely not as obsessed with Disney as I am but I think he does secretly like it. I think he's mostly excited for the pool and just laying out in the sun really!
Favorite park? Hollywood Studios
Favorite ride? Rock N Roller Coaster as well! ( I get my love for rock n roll from him!)
Favorite Disney food? I'm guessing anything with caramel. It's been so long I forget!
Favorite character? Grumpy. They're very alike:lmao:

So not too many *characters* to keep track of in this PTR! haha My family has been through a rough time the past few years so I'm really looking forward to spending time with my dad and myself. Because honestly my dad will probably just be at the pool most of the time which is fine by me, I'm excited to explore the parks by myself for awhile too!:woohoo:

I hope you'll join me as I plan all the details of this trip relatively quickly since we leave in 31 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3::banana:

Hey there everyone! Happy weekend! Although I had a weekend in the middle of the week since my university closed for 2 days because of the snowstorm!:cool1:

Anyways, I'm now furiously trying to figure out what park to go to for each day and one thing is making it really hard to do...and that would be Anna & Elsa! I've been scouring the boards here trying to figure out what day would be best to see them, but as of right now they are not showing at all for March in Epcot, or anywhere for that matter. UGH! So...now I don't really know what to do except wait till their next plans are announced. Whether they move to MK or not I don't care I JUST NEED TO MEET THEM!!!!
(I may be just a *little* obsessed with Frozen.;))

So for now here's my tentative schedule for the parks

Arrive 3/2- Downtown Disney for the evening
Monday 3/3- Epcot
Tuesday 3/4- Hollywood Studios
Wednesday 3/5- Magic Kingdom! (and dinner possibly at MK or at a resort)
Thursday 3/6- leave :sad1::sad1::sad1:

It seems like such a short trip, but I know I just need to be thankful that I at least get to go! (You folks that get to spend 2 weeks at Disney, I am just so envious of you all!)

I haven't been to Disney since they implemented the new Fastpass+ system so I've been reading as much as I can about it. I was so confused at first and thought you had to pay for the bands (I mean it's Disney, would we be at all surprised if we had to?:lmao:) But I think I'm pretty familiar with how the whole thing works now. I already went online and customized my dad and I's bands and went ahead and reserved fastpasses according to my tentative schedule.

(I got a pink one just fyi;))

It does stink though, how you can only choose 3 things, not duplicate any, and how you have to go between that time now! I really miss the good old days of paper fastpasses:(

Here's what I reserved for right now:

Epcot- Test Track, Mission Space, and Spaceship Earth.
-I'm so mad I couldn't do Soarin as well, it was either that or TT and since we haven't been on TT since the refurb I knew we'd have to do that. Guess we'll be waiting in line for Soarin for awhile:crazy2:

Hollywood Studios- Rock N Roller Coaster!!!, TOT, and Star Tours
-Of Course RNRC is number one on the list! I haven't ridden Star Tours in forever so I'm pretty excited for that one too!

Magic Kingdom- Space Mountain, The Little Mermaid ride, and meet n greet with Ariel
Space Mountain is my fave! I'm pretty bummed though because I think Splash will be closed while we're there :sad::sad: But I'm so excited for TLM ride! And I can't wait to meet Ariel, she's my second favorite princess!

So that's the schedule for now. Of course once it gets closer and I find out where Anna & Elsa are going to be I'll switch things around if I have to. I'm such a dedicated Frozen fan:laughing:

Now that it's February I can officially say I'm going to Disney NEXT month!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hey there!

So I haven't been updating this PTR too much mainly since I've been so busy with school! Last time I wrote a PTR I was in high school, oh how I wish I had that much free time again! haha

Anyways, I can't believe it but we leave next Saturday!!! This Wednesday we'll be in the single digits!!!

I thought for this post I'd go into detail a little bit about Fort Wilderness since that's where we'll be camping! I knew nothing about FW before we booked this trip and of course, the DIS came to my rescue. The FW thread has been a lifesaver!

In case you don't know already FW is located sort of diagonally across from MK! I was super excited to learn this. For some reason I thought it was way on the outskirts of Disney property, near AK. I'm guessing that being so close to MK we might be able to hear/see a little bit of the fireworks? At least if you go near the water you might be able to see something?

Now we are camping per say, but we're doing so in my dad's Chevy van. I bet you're thinking what? A Chevy van? Yeah...this thing is a monster. Literally I call it a boat it's so huge. It has a foldout bed in the back (which my dad gets, I have to sleep on the floor:worried:), it also has a microwave, a tv, a stove, and a refrigerator! It's pretty cool. But I think I'll be missing an actual bed/hotel feeling after like the first night! haha

I also didn't realize how HUGE FW is. I mean look at the map here...

I was also excited to find out they have a running/biking trail here as well. This is perfect for me since I'm actually training for a 1/2 marathon with my friend so I plan on getting at least one run in...I mean I am on vacation you know?:cool1: But yeah, the 1/2 marathon we're training for is the weekend right after this trip! So I know I'm gonna have to do something while I'm there.

I'm not a novice to camping, I've been camping since I was born actually! haha But looking on the FW thread it was very relieving to see the bathrooms. HOLY COW, just by looking at the picture I can tell these are the nicest campground facilities ever. I've stayed at some campgrounds where the bathrooms are literarlly cement floor, white cement walls, and fluorescent lights:snooty::crazy2: So this will be a nice change!

The only thing I'm worried about is how I'm gonna get my Mickey waffle fix....yes you read that right. I live for Mickey waffles, and to my understanding FW doesn't have any cafes/QS that sell them?! I could be mistaken, but I'm going to have to figure out where I can get them because they literally make my life.

I'm convinced these things make the world go round:love::love::love:

Anyways, that's about all for FW! I know there's tons of activities to do there too but since our trip isn't very long I'm honestly going to be in the parks as much as possible!

(All pictures of FW were taken from the FW thread and are not mine! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3218169&highlight=fort+wilderness)
