condos aren't ready for 4pm check-in. What has your experience been?
Ours was ready and absolutely gorgeous. We didn't have a list of demands, like which tower or which view, so that may have helped. We ended up on the 6th floor of tower 1 with a golf course view and loved it. We stayed there last month for the first time and we are already going back at the end of the month. We will never stay on site again and we are AP holders. We totally drank the Bonnet Creek "Kool-aid" and it was fantastic!
for the first time in three weeks. I found an amazing deal on Ebay. $225 for 5 nights in a 2 bdr deluxe. I can't stop
!! We don't have a list of demands so maybe we'll be okay. Thanks!Actually, if BC knows they have a large number of people checking out on a given day they should be bringing in extra cleaning staff so everyone checking in can do so for 4. People being told their room is not ready at 4 is probably the 1 item that concerns me about our February stay.Absolutely no reason to be concerned. You know what the check in time is and should plan your day accordingly.
Condos take longer to clean between guests. You have a kitchen. A jacuzzi. Living room. There generally isn't daily maid service. Might take a few extra minutes to clean. They hire housekeepers for the entire day. They don't hire them for just 10-12. That means there isn't a housekeeper waiting to clean the unit the minute a person checks out. I've read it takes at least an hour to clean a unit between guests, maybe 2 hours for the larger units.
Probably not true of properties like Bonnet Creek but I've read posts where a condo didn't have enough linens. The linens had to be washed (central laundry) before the beds could be made for the next group of guests.
This is typical of many timeshare properties.
It's an issue of a family drivers all night and arrives in Orlando in the early morning. Can be an issue with any hotel but is much more likely to be an issue with a condo style property.
PP told you sometimes you can get a unit before 4. You may get lucky but don't plan on it.
SORRY I think i misread the OP. Is she concerned the unit won't be ready at 4p? Too many people checkout that day, the resort is fully booked then some units might not be ready at 4. Not much you can do.
You will be amazed and you will wonder why anyone would ever stay in a hotel room in Disney on site or off ever again. It's fantastic!
We arrive the 28th as well.!!!!
See you on the 28th then at the pool while we wait for our late rooms to be cleaned! Ha ha! Don't stress about it, with a frozen drink in your hand and the kids in the pool you will have no worries. I think the problem is that once the guests check in, BC is so fantastic they don't want to leave and housekeeping must have to clean around the guests who are refusing to leave. You will love your stay!
We've stayed at BC three times and also at several other Wyndham resorts and we've always been able to walk up to the desk without a wait and check-in before 4:00pm. But that's most likely because we always check-in on a Sunday, when fewer guests are checking-in.
