This is why I don't ever use a travel agent. It's so easy to book a Disney trip on my own - I hate being tied to a particular agent. Sorry they treated you the way they did - just chalk it up and move on.
And don't let this spoil your enjoyment of what is otherwise a wonderful trip and a great vacation for your family. Just book it on your own next time.
I agree with the above post.
I am sorry for your expereince. I think you obviously don't have any problems dealing with airlines and making travel arrangemens. You were persistant and got your family out of there before the storm. You are dealing with you and yours..where as the Travel Co. was probably dealing with a planefull of guests. I personally have never seen the need to deal with the Disney Travel Co. either. It seems that you helped yourself more than they did. Whether they should have done more for you or not..I can't say, because I don't use the travel company. Obviously no one is going to look out for you more than you!...You did a great job. I wouldn't let this ruin my memories of the trip. Pat yourself on the back for being able to get your family out of a sticky situation with no help from Disney. I do think that those who do use the Travel Co. or a travel agent for that matter do expect that they would get more assistance than you did. Otherwise you would have made the original arrangements yourself. It seems from what I've read..that's not the reality.
