I'm celebrating my birthday at Disney! 4/26 Link to TR added!

Im turning 22 at Disney on April 21st and we'll be at the Magic Kingdom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1::banana:

No way!! I hope that you will have a fantastic day there, and I'll be sending good vibes your way for your birthday! :goodvibes

Now anytime I see anyone else with a birthday button that day, I'll be curious if it's you, haha. :wizard:

Okay not quite an update, but I wanted to share this picture because it's getting me in the Disney mood! My mom texted me today and told me that the weather is finally warming up there, it's been cold since they arrived. It's still pretty chilly where I live. It was below forty degrees this morning, which is highly unusual for this time of year in Georgia.

Anyway, here is the picture that my sister sent me last night. She and my family ate at the CP for dinner, and she's wearing the shirt that I made her for the trip (with the help of wonderful tips from the people over on the "Creative DISigns" board!). You can't see the back, though, because it was way too cold to go without a jacket.

Definitely gotta get a picture with the castle on my birthday!

By the way, when can you make your ADRs?

I can make them on 5/11, 90 days out. I'll be up early to call right on time (hopefully I'm not a morning person except when I'm at disney!!!)

I can be a morning person on my first day or two at Disney, which will be good for this trip, I hope! But mornings are definitely not my thing otherwise, and I've been known to sleep ridiculously late (sometimes on purpose, sometimes by complete accident). I have no idea how my dad does it! He can go to sleep at like 1:00am and be fully awake by 6:00 or 7:00am. :confused3 I'm much more of a night owl myself, although I'm usually :surfweb: the next day.

As for PTR-related stuff, I've been checking out the Theme Parks board and I went on the Touring Plans website. So far, Tuesday the 21st at the MK is not looking too bad. TP has the crowd level for that day rated at 7. Having been at the MK during all kinds of crowd levels, even up to 10s, I think we'll manage with a 7. Several people on the Theme Parks board have posted that the week of my birthday, the crowds usually shrink quickly down from the Easter and Spring Break levels. My family has told me several times this week how bad the crowds are right now (TP lists this week at levels of 10 across the board). :scared1:

The lowest that I've seen the crowds in the past few years was during the trip Rob and I took during the second full week in May 2007. We would get to the parks right after opening, spend a few hours there, and then leave in the afternoon to go back to POP or to DTD for some rest. Then we'd go back to the parks in the evening, and we never waited for anything in the parks longer than 10 minutes. Then the Saturday that we were leaving, we decided to go to MK for a couple of hours for lunch and any last-minute enjoyment, and the place was packed shoulder to shoulder!!

I am glad that at least my birthday is on a Tuesday, when with any luck most of any weekend crowds will be gone. But we won't know for certain what the crowds will be like until we walk into the MK! And at that point, I'll be too excited to notice for at least five minutes. :woohoo:

Only 9 days to go until we leave!

I'm going to consider Monday evening part of the trip though, because getting to WDW is part of the fun and excitement!

Hope that everyone is enjoying their Easter weekend! My family is on the way home from FL right now. Rob and I went and picked up the pets from the kennel already, and now he's enjoying the Wii (and by "enjoying," I mean, "yelling at"), so I thought I'd have some DIS time.

This is my cat Mickey. No, he's not camera-shy, he just thinks I"m crazy. We named him Mickey because we adopted him the day after returning from WDW adventure.

While I'm still putting together my list of "Birthday Wishes," I thought I'd go ahead and organize a quick To-Do list of things that need to get done before I leave a week from Monday!

1. Find my camera (can't go without this!) and charge the battery before packing it
2. Finish a 15-page paper for one of my classes :scared1:
3. Research for another paper
4. Laundry
5. Clean my bedroom and bathroom when I get back to my apartment
6. Pack clothes, toiletries, etc.
7. Any miscellaneous classwork

I can't wait to be out of college. School has pretty much ruled over my life for the past 15 years, and I'm ready for that to change!! One more year, one more year...

Happy Saturday!

Woohoo! Only 9 more days to go!! That's awesome!!! I know what you mean about waiting for school to be over. I graduate in a few weeks with my associate's degree and then I only have one more semester for my bacherlor's so I'll be done by dec. I can't wait!!!! Well I hope you get everything done before you go!!!!

Hello! I can't believe that I'll be leaving in only one week! So little time, but still so much to do!! And pretty much all of it is school-related. :headache:

I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter! I've got enough candy now to last for a month, and I'll be putting most of it on the Chocolate Table. That's right. My roommates and I have an entire end table next to our couch with nothing but various chocolate stuff on it. And I figure if I share, then I won't eat so much of it by myself.

Later today, I'm going to try and write an actual update. I won't be getting home until much later than usual, because I'll be in the library doing research. :surfweb:

FOUR DAYS UNTIL WE LEAVE!

I'm so sorry that I've been M.I.A. lately! The last couple of days, I've just been working on the 15-25 page term paper that I had due today. Last night in typical college student fashion, I pulled a complete all-nighter to finish it, working from 9:00pm until 10:00am this morning. I finished! :thumbsup2 Then I went to class at 11:00am, turning it in, and came home from my classes at 2:15pm. I took some allergy medication, went to bed, and didn't wake up until about thirty minutes ago. :scared1: But that's nothing compared to what I call my "epic nap" from back in February. I pulled one-and-a-half all-nighters in a row to finish a bunch of work for different classes that all happened to be due on the same day. :surfweb: Then I came home, and at 4:30 I laid down for a short nap. I turned off my alarm in my sleep, and didn't wake up until 2:00am!! Luckily I was still tired enough after that to sleep the rest of the night.

Anyway, I'm almost finished with my list of Birthday Wishes, and there isn't much else to update about until I pack this weekend. So an actual update IS coming, I promise!

As for now, my roommate just finished baking us some pizza, so gotta run! :woohoo:

I LEAVE IN 5 HOURS!!!! AND TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY!!

I'm sorry that I'm such a horrible PTR-updater. I'll chalk it up to my inexperience ;). My "Birthday Wishes" post isn't ready, so I'll just work it into my TR after I return!

Anyway, I'll be leaving from my college campus in about 5 hours and 15 minutes to head home so that I can meet up with my Dad. I'm so excited, I don't know how I'll be able to sit still in class today. :hyper:

I got most of the stuff on my To-Do list done before today, with the exception of some cleaning around my room. Over the weekend, my brain was pretty much fried from research and paper-writing, and I needed an extensive break to loaf around the apartment and relax. So Friday night, one of my roomies and I ordered pizza and enjoyed some episodes of The Golden Girls. Then on Saturday and Sunday, I camped out on the couch with season two of The Office and some Easter candy. Wonderful!

As for trip-related stuff, I'm almost done packing, because it's not like I need lots of clothes for a two-day trip anyway. But I have no idea what I'm going to wear tomorrow. :scratchin Want to definitely be comfy, but I want to look cute, too! I can't wait to get to POP tonight!! My dad wants to take his car, so I'll probably let him do most of the driving while I read while there is still daylight. Then we might switch back and forth on driving for the last few hours (I drive faster). I really hope I'll be tired enough to sleep once we get there, because I know I'll be totally excited about tomorrow!!! :dance3:

I've still got a couple of things to print out for my blue WDW folder. It goes on all of my Disney trips with me to hold any documents I'll need.

Well I need to get finished packing so I can load up the car and head to class. I'll be sure to try and get lots of pics!

Take care!

:cool1: OMG!!! Have a great trip! You're so lucky to be going, I'm so jealous. You will be warm and it's sleeting at my house and about 35 degrees outside. Have fun and happy early birthday!!!! Can't wait to hear how everything goes when you get back!!! :bday:

Thank you for the birthday wishes! We got home Wednesday night, but I've been busy since then with finishing up classwork before finals. I'm almost done with the semester, and I couldn't be more excited!

We had a wonderful trip, and I'm going to start work on my TR in just a few minutes, so I'll post a link when I get it started!
