Hi Everyone, I'm back! We got home late last night after an exhausting five days. We had a great time at DLRP and I had a lovely birthday (thanks for your kind wishes). Glad to be home as I spent sooo much money! :rolleyes1

Hope you have all had a good week.

What was the weather like? Glad to hear you had a lovely birthday Claire:goodvibes

It was quite cloudy on Sunday afternoon when we arrived then it rained late afternoon and most of the evening. Monday, Tues & Wednesday were all really lovely sunny days and yesterday morning was nice but just after we got to the train station it absolutely poured down...we were really lucky not to get caught up in it otherwise it would have been a very soggy trip home! ::yes::

Glad you had a good time. Any pictures???

So pleased to hear you had a great time :thumbsup2

We had a great time thanks Claire. :cool1:

I don't know if you've been before or not but this was our first time and we were really surprised at the prices! Everything was so expensive and I was prepared for high 'Disney' prices as we have been to WDW 4 times but DLRP is much more expensive (or course the rubbish exchange rate doesn't help but even if the rate was better I would still have found it expensive.)

I don't mean to be negative but I was really surprised so if you go there expecting high prices on everything, including food & drinks, it may be a bit less shocking for you.

How much did you speand on food a day? We are planning to take £400 in spending money for 5 days, 2 adults, does that sound enough?

I'm not sure how much we spent in total yet. We didn't have breakfast, we had a midday lunch and dinner every night. It was only me & my DH so just 2 adults. On average I think dinner each night was about 100 euro's, that was with either starter or dessert (never both) and only 1 or 2 beers & a soft drinks. We ate at The Steakhouse, Planet Hollywood, Silver Spur Steakhouse, room service on first night at Hotel New York, Annette's Diner (this was cheaper but I can't remember how much.)

I think it was the prices of the souvenirs that shocked me the most and the prices of the kids toys.

Glad you enjoyed your birthday trip :goodvibes , do you have any pics to share?
