You're welcome! The After Sun isn't a cure, but it helps a little bit, and hey...every little bit helps in my opinion. Plus, it feels so good going on

The one thing the After Sun does do for me is not make my burns as severe; I burn within 5 minutes, but if I put that stuff on immediately, the burn is gone within a couple days. If I don't use it, the burn lasts over a week. This is assuming of course that I catch the burn early on, before it turns me into a lobster! But you can feel it working, and just the cooling effect under my skin makes me happy. Sometimes I use it when I don't have a burn, but just want the good feeling it gives

I've gone to doctors, and they aren't really all that helpful! This has been the worst year for me yet; I've had this problem ever since I was born. The rash is all over my hands and arms this year, in places that I've never had it before. And I'm a firm believer in the "If it scratches, ITCH IT!" which doesn't help matters much hehe!
I know you said that it would be hot in August, and I agree with ya there. But as far as the clothing goes, or the hats...think of the people that live in the hot deserts in Africa; they cover themselves head to toe! They do this to keep the sun off, but also because, believe it or not, it IS cooler.
I myself don't even own a pair of shorts; I only own pants and slacks. Our summers easily get above 115 degrees, and I'm not hotter than the people who are wearing shorts. In fact, not having the hot sun directly on my skin feels sooo much better than my arms, where I do wear T-shirts and am exposed. For my summers, I'm wearing T-Shirts and Tank Tops like normal, but throwing a very light cover up with the UV stuff on. It's really not any hotter, because it's so lose and ventilated that the air flows through; and again, no sun directly on my skin to make it roast!
As I sit here typing this, I'm scratching on my current rashes! Blasted sun, blasted!
