I'm all alone on the November 27, 2005 Wonder

Okay Beth, so this is what you suggested!

.... meeting on Deck 10, all the way aft, outside Palo, at 3:15 PM for a quick hello. There is very rarely anyone there at that time, and you can't get lost if you go ALL the way aft. You'll be able to recognize me from my picture...I don't change much from one year to the next...and from the fact that I'll have my lime green Mickey head tag with my name on it!
I will talk to my group and see if this will work out for everyone.

Let me see if I can find a link to that other thread too.

For anyone who's interested...

On Wednesday, October 19, my cat surprised me with a litter of three kittens. Yes, I knew that they would be arriving, however, I didn't quite realize how soon! They have finally emerged from their nest, hidden way back in a dark corner behind my bed, and have graciously allowed me some "camera time" with them. If you'd like to see a few pictures, they're here.

See you all in a few weeks!

Briege:

I just found the other thread! I'm at work and supposed to be doing some research on housing conditions, but I certainly think that researching my cruise is a whole lot more important right now!

Hi, Briege! It was great to meet you on the cruise, especially considering all the funny circumstances that led to our meeting!

I'll be posting a full trip report when I finally return home this weekend, but I have posted a description of our experiences on board between cruises.

You can find that here.

I also took over 370 pictures, many of which will be posted after I return home and back to my high speed connection.

Beth

Beth,

It was great to meet you and Jim. It was really bizare the way we bumped into each other and the fact that you had encountered several of the other couples from our group earlier in the cruise. Must be that Disney Magic. Hope you are enjoying WDW. We arrived back to Pittsburgh this afternoon and it was 32 Degrees.......a bit chilly considering it was in the mid 80's this week in the Bahamas.

Can't wait to see your pictures. I am trying to get mine sorted too. As you know, my digital camera gave up on Castaway cay and I had to resort to the underwater camera's and the disposable ones. The digital ones up to that point are great though. I can't wait to see the pictures from the others.

As you know we all reluctantly left the ship at 9am. We had some really nice US Air Reps outside the terminal (the Disney Magic must be spreading to them) where we were checking our luggage before boarding our Disney Cruise Bus to Orlando Airport to catch a 3pm flight to Pittsburgh. They asked us if we wanted an earlier flight and of course we jumped at the chance. We arrived at the airport close to 11am I think and after going through security, getting to the gate etc we had plenty of tinme to catch our 12 noon flight to Pittsburgh. We landed in Pittsburgh about 2pm and so were almost home before we were even scheduled to leave Orlando. Of course the cold air tried to spoil our day but we are all still excited with our wonderful memories of our WDW vacation and the cruise. I think the cruise was the best part and would love to go again. I phoned some of my sisters in Ireland as soon as I arrived home. I plan to work on them to convince them that we should all cruise together next time!!

Enjoy WDW.

Briege:

We saw you as you were checking in with the airline reps! We were on the last bus to leave the port, and the bus driver was waiting for some guest who was VERY late in leaving the ship. I tried to get off the bus to talk to you, but those last minute guests were arguing with the bus driver in the doorway and I just couldn't get past them!

We're heading home Saturday afternoon, and right now they're predicting a "major snow event" for Sunday into Monday. Maybe I'll get an extra day off to recuperate!

Beth

Beth,

Enjoy your last 2 days at WDW before you head home to the snow. We had snow last night, but just a couple of inches. It's hard to get used to the cold again after all that heat. Sorry to have missed you at the port. Safe journey home.

Briege:

We arrived home around 1 AM this morning. Woke up today to a couple of inches of snow, but it melted quickly once it started raining. It's below freezing again, so everything is iced over. The weather is supposed to start getting bad tomorrow night, so maybe I'll have Tuesday off and can start posting all of my pictures!

Beth

Hi, Briege!

I got my first set of pictures posted. They're the pictures I took the day that Magic was docked at Castaway Cay and Wonder pulled up for photo opportunities.

You can find them here.

I was hoping for a big snowstorm last night so that I could stay home today and post more, but all we got was a couple of inches--just enough to make things slushy and miserable!

One week ago today we were at Castaway Cay, and today it's 25 degrees!

I'm ready to book my next cruise. I wonder if I can afford to board the ship in November and stay on until March or April ;) ? I'll tell my boss that I can just work over the internet.

Beth

OK, I have an internet connection (at least for a little while), so I started posting my trip report. Of course, the 11/23 trip is first, and the first post in the thread is here.

I've also started posting my pictures. In three nights at WDW and eight nights on Wonder, I took over 300 pictures, which are taking a while to sort and label! You can see the pictures on my website.

Still having some computer issues at home (and the cold weather isn't helping!), but I got some of my ship pictures posted last night.

You can find them here.

I'll post more of my report and more pictures as soon as I can get a connection at home again!

Just posted a bunch of pictures - some onboard pictures and the Nassau pictures--lots of pictures from Ardastra Gardens and our visit to Fort Fincastle and Atlantis! Go to my website and scroll down to the bottom of the page for links to pictures from this vacation. I'll post all the new links there as I post more pictures.

I also posted the second part of my trip report here. If I can keep this connection alive, I'll post more in a few minutes. I have to do some laundry now or I'll have to go to work in my pajamas in the morning!

Beth,

Have been able to get to the computer much lately with all the holiday preparations and work keeping me busy. Can't wait to read your report and look at all your pictures this weekend. Maybe it will give me the bump I need to post my own.

Briege

Beth,

By the way, did you ever meet any of the other 11/27/05 DIS'ers from this thread while we were on board? I didn't meet anyone else. Of course I did meet the suggested get-together. That would probably have helped!!
