I have been reading for about a week now and I am filling my Disney notebook with all sorts of ideas. I have one question (to start with :rotfl2: )-how far in advance can you book a vacation through Disney's web site? I just tried to book a vacation for Feb 2009 and the site said I could only book through 12-08. I want my stuff now!!!!!!!! :wizard: My DH, DS 7 and DS 3 went last Feb and the weather/everything was wonderful and we want to do it again this Feb. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ya'll!!!!:yay:

Hey welcome to the Dis! Great to have you with us. I can't answer your question, but I think if you were to call central reservations you could book about as far ahead as you'd want to. :earsboy:

:welcome: to the DIS!! I'm pretty sure that if you call Disney then you can make reservations for your Feb. trip! Good luck!

Enjoy your time on the boards and happy planning! pixiedust:

HI, THIS TO IS MY FIRST POST.......I HAVE BEEN LURKING IN THE WINGS FOR A WHILE NOW......AND I HAVE LEARNED ALOT FROM ALL OF YOU...THANKS SO MUCH.:worship:

WE WILL BE MAKING THE JOURNEY TO THE KINGDOM IN 2009..

Prices for 2009 will probably be released in early August.

Prior to that you can probably book Room Only by phone.

Thanks!!! The August timeframe will still allow me to make my ADR and get what I want. I may be new to this, but with all the info I have learned on this board in a very short time, I will be going Disney Commando in no time!:woohoo:

When my DS went in August 2004 I made reservations in May of 2003. I went through Small World travel agency which is sponsored or endorsed by Mousesavers.com. I realized that the prices could go up but it gave me about a year to save and pay for it and I would make a "payment" every month.

Did you lock in at the 2003 prices or did you end up paying the difference? Also, the last trip we took in Feb. 08, we paid a $200 fee at booking (October 08) and then the rest was due Jan. 3rd. Is this how you did it also? We just recently received an offer for a Disney Visa card that has 12 months same as cash and my husband is all about letting someone else loan him money free for a year! Either way, by DS7 and DS3 are ready to go back and so are we. My husband and I went to Disney all the time and believe it or not, once we had kids, we kept waiting until we thought they were "old" enough. Fools!!!!!!!!!! Thanks.:rotfl:

I remember that I booked the package, we stayed at POFQ, and I don't recall if there was an '03/'04 price difference of not, but I am certain that I probably paid it because new prices come out. As I said I booked in May '03 with the standard $200/person deposit and then I paid $200 a month each month and by the time the total was due I only had to pay $200! It was the best way to go!
