I'm a new trader, I've been ripped off, now what do I do?

Apr 4 I finalized a trade with someone from pinpics. She seemed to have quite a few good references and I offered to mail first because I'm new to pin trading and understand my 150+ references on ebay are different then 150+ references on the dizpins reference board. She said she would ship at the same time. I thought this was great and that I'd have the pin to trade for my trip at the end of April.
Well, my trip came and went and no pin. I have emailed now once a week since I've been back with no response at all! Nothing! I first asked if she had gotten my pin, and told her I have not yet received her end, and to please let me know if she shipped. No response at all. Now I've emailed her other asking to ship back my pin. Is there any course of action I can take? Is there a Negitive reference board for pin-lifters?

Your best bet is to send an email to info@pinpics.com and file a complaint with them.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you.

Unfortunately there is no board or site for leaving negative trader feedback. The feedback area on Dizpins is set up only for positive feedback. No one has come forward willing to take the responsibility to organize a site for fair feedback both positive and negative. Not only would it be a huge headache to investigate the complaints and make sure they are legitimate, but there are liability issues. Most of the time it would be one person's word against the other, and it would only take one person trying to destroy the reputation of another for there to be a charge of libel or slander.

Since the trade was initiated through Pinpics, your best bet is to go here, Pinpics' trade reporting page. Make sure you have copies of your e-mails, either saved on your computer or printed out. If they don't make good on the trade or return your pin, they could be charged with mail fraud.
