I'm a little confused here - do they have MAID service at OKW ?

Hi everyone - bit confused ... .do they have maid service at the OKW resort? I thought I was reading something about not having maid service but I'm not sure. Thanks for the heads up!!

They do have maid service but at an additional charge. I am not sure of the exact amounts though. You get Trash and Towel day on your 4th day there (please correct me if I am wrong) and then on your 7th (maybe 8th) you get a full cleaning at no additional charge.

We don't mind not having the service. We have all the amenities of home. I put the towels in the wash and had them the next day. I also brought way too many clothes my first trip home!! I was able to do laudry at night and went home with clean clothes.

Maybe someone else can elaborate of the maid service more than me.

If you have a cash reservation, as opposed to one using points, you do get daily maid service.

Because your stay will be on points, you will not get daily maid service. Depending on how long you are staying, you will have trash and towel on the third day and a full cleaning on the 7 day if you are staying more than 7 days.

This is a timeshare, so it is like a vacation home, not a hotel. We really don't miss the maid service. In fact, I prefer not having anyone in our room when we are not there.

The previous post was right. DO NOT PACK SO MUCH! We have gotten so used to the in room laundry, that we do one load each day alternating whites and darks. Be sure to pack laundry tabs as they only give you one load worth of Tide!

If you think you absolutely have to have maid service, it is available at a price. I am not sure, but I think it is $25 a day.

You can always get daily maid service. If you paid cash to stay at OKW, you get daily maid service. If you stay on points, you get 4th day Trash and Towels. If you stay at least 8 days, you get 4th day full cleaning and 8th day trash and towels. Or you can pay an extra fee for daily cleaning.

These are Homes Away from Home. I vacuum every other week at my home whether it needs it or not. Am I gonna vacuum every day at OKW?? No way. Do I need every day vacuuming at OKW?? No way. My family and I aren't pigs at home. We're not pigs on vacation either.

We like not having house keeping in our room every day. Don't have to pick up and put things away so they can clean. We keep packing less and keep finding with the washer/dryer we should be packing even less. It's just so convenient to toss in the clothes while your having breakfast, or winding down from the day/evening in the parks etc. It's not like home where (most of us!) have to lug lanudry to/from basement (where the washer is) to the bedrooms etc..the laundry room is right there, very convenient..you're going to walk right by it on the way to the shower..how convenient is that!!

We make our bed every morning..takes all of 2 minutes for 2 people to pull up the covers!

We have paid for extra cleaning in the past when we've had guests along, but it really wasn't worth the expense. I don't scrub my bathroom every day at home either!

You don't have to get it everyday, you can just request certain days.
