Illuminations

We just got back from disney world and my family and I were watching Illuminations the first night. Now I dont know if Im crazy but it seemed to be much shorter then before. I thought the ending was much longer and much more extravagant. I looked at my watch and the whole thing only lasted 12 mnutes. I asked the waitress at England and she said 12 minutes is about right. But another person standing next to me said they cut it back since last year. I thought it used to be more like 20 minutes. Does anyone know for sure. I hate to see Dis cut back on things at the cost of the guest.

They might of. I know the part with the "world TV thing" was way too long! Too much down time if you ask me. So they might of just cut that section a little. But i dont know for sure.

I've got the soundtrack from 1999 when they started the current version of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. It is 9 minutes and 31 seconds, with the epilogue song, 'We Go On', being 2 minutes and 26 seconds, so just about 12 minutes total. Maybe you are remembering a previous version, or a holiday extended version?

That is about the right amt of time. I don't think they cut anything.

As someone mentioned, maybe you are thinking of the holiday version. If previous trips have been late November/December, you would have seen this longer version - I think it is 5 minutes longer, so perhaps that is what you are thinking of.
