ILLUMINATIONS CRUISES-What they are--How to book--FIND ONE TO SHARE

I know that the boat captain will drop you off at the MGM boat dock after the specialty cruise if you ask (or so I've heard). Will there be any problem doing that with the Breathless? And will they do that even if MGM is closed by that time? And is it safe to leave your car parked in the lot when the park is closed? Any problem with getting out, or having your car towed?

Not a problem having Breathless drop you off at any of the docks (Epcot, MGM, Boardwalk, Swan) but the dock has to be open. That would mean only 1-hour after MGM closes. The problem, the last Friendship boat that leaves MGM turns off all of the dock lights when they leave. Also, the trams and the busses stop running. So as long as your within the 1-hour after closing you'll be OK, just tell the driver after IllumiNations ends.

Thanks, Mike. I guess it won't work, then...MGM closes at 7pm the night we're taking the Breathless. Guess we'll have to hoof it out the front gate with the masses.

As a very small gesture of our appreciation of the monumental sacrifices and heroic accomplishments you’ve made for us, we’d be honored if you'ld join us for our Illuminations cruise. We have a boat reserved on 12/5/07 for the 9:30 PM show. You’ll need to be able to board at 8:30 PM at the Yacht Club dock.

If you’d like to join us, please let us know how many are in your party (and anything else you’d like to share) by posting a response here, leaving a Personal Message, or emailing us.

If this doesn’t apply to you but you know of someone to whom it does, please feel free to pass this information on to them.

We wish we could bring all of our heroes in the military, emergency and safety services, veterans of all wars, etc. We appreciate you all.

Humbly in your debt,
Tim and Bonnie
“Cheshire Cat”

We still have room.

This is a long shot, but is there any chance anyone has room for 2 adults and one child on Saturday, 12/1?

Hello,

I posted in the February link but I don't seem to be getting any responses. I have a cruise booked for Feb 5, 2008 for my boyfriend and I. We would be more than happy to share our boat being that there is room for 10. PM me if you are interested. This is our first trip to WDW, I have been to disneyland many times so I am quite excited.

Hi,

We (DD10, DD14, DW and me DH) are a well behaved family and are coming all the way from South Africa to Disney for 6 to 16 December 2007.

We tried to book an Illuminations cruise at the 90 mark but were pipped to the post for some speedier dialers than us :(

We would love to share a cruise on any of these nights

Fri 7
Mon 10
Wed 12

This is a once in a lifetime vacation for us and this would help make it a little more special :goodvibes
Alan and others,
We have room on our illuminations cruise on 12/7. Please email or PM me if you would like to join us.

Anyone have room for 4 (2 adults and DS5 and DS6)? November 25 through November 30? We'd love to join in on a fireworks cruise! Thanks.

We are hoping to surprise my boyfriend's parents with a Wishes Cruise on December 10th. If anyone has room for the four of us we would really appreciate it. We went once before, and had a great time, thanks to this board. It was an amazing experience and we would love to share it with his parents.

Thanks.
Jenn and Dave

I just wanted to let everyone know that DF and I have booked a Deluxe Wishes Cruise at 7:30 on January 8, 2008. The cruise will include snacks and drinks, boat and captain. The music from Wishes will also be piped into the boat. So far there are 4 people going. We have space for 4 more if anyone is interested. The cost should total out to about $45 per person. No one can tell me what the "snacks and drinks" are. I got a quote on a Wishes cruise with a 7:15 reception (Capt. hook & Smee) and a boat for the fireworks- Peter Pan greets the boat at return. it was $39. each adult. The CM wanted the name and reservation number of each guest.....Is this what you booked? If not what is the Deluxe cruise?:confused3

Sounds like what I booked - minus peter pan!! I know drinks are just soda and water, dunno about snacks...

What you are referring to is the Magical Fireworks Voyage....this is a grand gathering event. Are you going with a group? Do you have a grand gathering number? This event is not available to "regular" guests.

There is a small dessert reception at the Contemporary...prepackaged desserts...soda, bottled water & coffee

Your cruise is the $275 + tax one (unless you are doing a birthday add on) There is bags of chips, pretzels, Fritos, bottled water & canned soda

Yes, I was told it was a grand gathering-they told me about 4 options, three of them required park tickets and some of our party are not "park people".

When no one can tell me what the snacks are I get leary. It could be anything from a snack size bag of chips and a 20 oz bottle of soda to ???

We needed 8 or more and the whole thing was under 2 hours.

I do not mean to be cheap, I just want value for the $$. When I ask my family to pony up $39.99 (plus 18% Gratuity?) each I want to tell them what we are getting.

We thought it was worth the money...we are doing it again in December...the desserts are nothing to write home about...like I said, prepackaged stuff...brownies, rice krispy treats, chips, pretzels....the cruise was good

Anyone pre-planning and have room for two on a Wishes Cruise April or May 22-26?

Unfortunately part of my group has canceled leaving room for the following:

December 19th Grand 1 Yacht Cruise 8:30 pm

Experience the ultimate Specialty Cruise aboard the 45-foot Grand 1 Yacht from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! From the deck you can view the magic of Cinderella Castle, the massive and very pretty Disney Resorts, and the elegance of the Grand Floridian.... fantastic view of the Wishes® Nighttime Spectacular (fireworks)!

room for 5 more

Approx $50 per person

December 22 Illuminations & Breathless (I have both booked)
Room for 5 additional people

Please PM me if you are interested

Kristine
