Does anyone fancy an illuminations cruise at DISCON2 or am I trying to pack just too much into the time we will all be there? Or is there something like this planned already?

Any ideas - opinions?

Emma

P.s. I have now booked my flight and I am only around from the 3rd - 9th so I will confirm the date for this as soon as the offical DISCON dates are annouced. If DISCON2 doesnt start on the 3rd, I think this would be a great night to start the fun!

The official DIS-CON-I Dessert Party on the French Island was the very best view that I have ever had of the Illumunations. Even better than the Illuminations cruise which parks just under the bridge behind the French Island.

Linda and Mac-key Mouse are thinking about doing it again this year.

But you know, to be with DIS friends on an Illuminations Cruise would be fun, too.

I would be interested. Do you want me to put it on our unofficial list of very tenative, unofficial 2001 DIS-CON-II min-meets. Whew!...

:earseek: Good Heavens! That was a mouthful! ;)

I would be interested in this too, but if we have the French island again, there will be no need for this. Our view last year was absolutely perfect! :)

Emma, that might be fun just for the cruise part! The Illuminations party does have the perfect view. I'd be interested, too. But I think the max for a cruise is 12 people. That might leave some out, unless we reserved more than one boat! Also, this would probably be better scheduled for before or after DIS-CON. Our DIS-CON nights are usually filled with convention activities and events.

I thought that the max for the Illuminations cruise was 10 adults. I think that you are allowed to have 2 children in addition to 10 adults, but I could be mistaken. Does anyone know for sure? I know that PandyPaws has reserved MANY of these cruises in the past. I'd venture to guess that she knows the answer.

We actually used one of Pandy's reservations last July (thanks Donna) and cruised with the ejigs family. The view was spectacular, but I will agree that the view from the French Island is better.

John, you're right-it is 10 adults, max. You can only have 12 if there are at least two children along. We did have little ones with us, so we were able to take the 12 people. Thanks! :)

I'm up for it!!!
I would suggest passing Tia and John (Towncrier) as my "kids" !!!:smooth:  ;)

Sounds like fun, we'd be up for it!

When we did both the MK and Illumi cruise this past December they allowed 12 adults on the boat. We had two kids but when I made the ressies I told the lady that the kids were almost adult size and she said that was fine - well dd was considered an adult anyway in price. So I don't know if they've gotten more lenient on this.

I would be more up for an MK cruise if we get the French dessert thing!!!!!
