I'll never make it as a pin trader

When I bought my MVMCP pin, I got an extra one fully intending to trade it. Then I read about a DISer who lost an ebay auction for one of these pins. She was supposed to go to MVMCP this year, but had to cancel. I felt bad for her and sent her the pin.

So I have to apologize to EpcotKilterFan. Try as she may to train me in the ways of pin trading, I just can't seem to shake this habit of giving my pins away. I think that I've been hanging around Debbie's mom too much since I hear that she loves to give pins away too. I have got to stop buying those "extra" pins.

Pin Giving is a subset of pin trading and is quite enjoyable. Many pin traders also participate in pin giving so hang in there and you can work on the pin trading little by little.

There are times that you get more out of pin giving than pin trading. You are still a good pin trader.

Just as the others have said, pin giving is a part of pin trading. I know that I have given away many pins to unsuspecting individuals (especially love to give them to children!)

The trading will come eventually. Hang in there!

I am sure I give more pins away then trade - that is more fun to me.

I am really bad at trading.

Maybe we need to start a Pin Giving Board.

I want to keep all of mine!! Even though I could trade them for this and that, I always think but then I won't have it...I'm awful! So I did buy duplicates of some of the 100 years pins for Disney World in January...LOL!! Now if I could just get someone to "give" me Pin #1....LOL!

OH GOD.....I do it to sometimes.....actually gave away a NO#101 walt & mickey to a couple to finish their set tonight.....call it a christmas gift....of course I also call it extending
PIN KARMA........which works in mysterious ways but I believe!!!!
SOOOOO.....sometimes it's good to give, but you know the next step from giving pins out is trading with fellow pin traders like over the course of time...like I think I OWE NAT like 500 pins now since he helped me tonight to get my wife a certain pin.....( )
OK maybe we are even..who keeps track????But anyways....he know's I'll catch up with him someday.....then you progress to fun pintrader & then it's down hill from there...shark status like nat & that's the last straw...HEHEHEHHE

I think we have all felt the way you feel Towncrier!! I always think I'm terrible at trading and then lo and behold....I am able to make a good trade. It always surprises me. It's a good feeling to give a pin away. What you did was spread the kindness and maybe...just maybe....the person you gave the pin too will remember that and spread some kindness too.
