Hubby & I will be staying offsite the Wed - Sat of Memorial Day weekend and he would like to go to HS on Thursday with the main focus to ride ROTR & MFSR, and see the Galaxy’s Edge area. I was at Disney in Dec, stayed on-site, used Genie+ and @ 7am was able to get $ILL for ROTR, I think the return time was around noon.

Since we’re staying offsite, I know I won’t be able to try and get $ILL for ROTR until 9am, what are the chances of getting them? Park hours aren’t available yet, but IF the park opens at 9am, is it better to be in line at 7:30ish for park opening and do stand-by line? IF I am able to score a $ILL what are the chances the return time is sometime in the afternoon? We’re not big rollover coaster people, so ToT, RNR, etc are not on our “must do” list, so I don’t want to count on getting $ILL only for the return time to be 8pm.

Thanks

You have almost no chance of getting an ILL at all. It sells out within a couple minutes at 7am. Also with the 30-minute early entry for onsite the line will be long by the time offsite guests are let in.

The best chance to ride it with a shorter wait will be at the end of the night when lines are usually shorter, but you run the risk of the ride going down and not reopening for the rest of the night.

Unfortunately if you’re offsite there isn’t a good way to ride it without a long wait unless you’re willing to go near closing with the risk that it could break down.

The chance of getting an ILL$ is virtually impossible as an offsite guest. As mentioned above, they are gone within moments at 7AM.

Another great option is to try and ride at the end of the day. We lined up 5 mins before park closing and we’re off the ride in 40 mins. The big risk with this is the ride may not be running at park close as it breaks down frequently. We tried this method twice and we’re successful 50% of the time as the first day the ride was down in the evening.
