I can hardly believe it. Two weeks ago today, i found out i was going to a convention in Orlando for work the first week of June. So i decided to take advantage of the opportunity to spend some time at Disney, since i haven't been since December of 2001. This will be my first solo trip--i asked a couple people if they wanted to come with, but the one friend actually ended up being in Orlando to visit a friend a week ago. The other was pretty interested, as she's never been to WDW before, but she couldn't get enough time off work on such short notice. I'm a little bummed out about that, because while i was waiting to find out if she could go, i kept thinking of all the cool stuff we would be doing together and how much fun it would be to go with her. And then when she told me she couldn't go, i was pretty sad that we wouldn't be doing any of that. But, i'm sure i'll have a good time anyway--i'll just have to send her a postcard or two.

Actually, i figure this will be a pretty good way to do my first solo trip--people generally seem to be a little surprised or puzzled when i tell them i'm going to be there by myself, but i just tell them that the trip came up so quickly that i couldn't find anyone else that was able to go. Of course, i'll probably like it so much that i want to go back again, and then i'll have to come up with a different explanation. :)

It's crazy how much work is involved in planning and preparing for a trip to Disney when you only have two weeks notice!

You'll have a great time doing the parks solo. It's YOUR trip on YOUR schedule. Ride you favorite rides as many times as you want. Eat when and where you want. Sleep in or hit the parks early.

Maybe another solo DISer will be there at the same time - I've met up with some great people from these boards. If you don't get along, head your separate ways...

Have a GREAT trip!! :goodvibes

Thanks! I think i'm finally done packing, and i'm about ready to get on the train to go to the airport! So excited!
