I just love your Mickey pumpkin head. I thought I would share a pictures of my son in his costume. We froze out in the cold too. It was very windy.

thanks! your son is AWESOME as iron man!!!

That was funny :lmao:

Yes he is a cutie. Love that costume.

Love this. In the picture of Ray handing out candy I saw a little prt of the top and knew it was a Mickey.

yeah, i love that t-shirt that anna got for luke. it's funny...and true! only a true DISer can spot mickey ears a mile away! ;)

Thanks for sharing the Ice show! I think when it comes to my town, I'll have to take my DD!

BTW, love the mickey pumpkin head! So cool!

your DD would love it!

Hey Dawn! DOI is coming to our town in Jan but the only time that will work for Ty is 5pm on a Sunday. How long is the show? Do you think it will go later then 7pm??? :thumbsup2

it was approximately 2 hours. the show started at 4:00 and we were outta there by 6:00. so you should get out right at 7:00.

we only went to about 20 houses right around us, he did pretty good on the candy, but we still got some mean people that said, well you are to little for trick or treat candy, so what do mom and dad want (they said it in rather pissy tones), i wanted to say, hey it is the joy of us taking our little guy around on his first halloween, and see his expressions and having memories, you can have your candy back and ill show you where to put it, but i didnt, i just kinda smiled and said well thank you very much....i wanted to slap a few of those people

of course he is not going to eat it, and next year when he is 1 and a half he wont eat it either, but it is the joy of taking him and him having fun...

some people

OMG....who cares about if he can't eat it or not!????!!!??? that's just silly. i enjoy giving out the candy to the kids and seeing their costumes - i don't care how old they are! now if they're 16 and they come up to my house with NO costume, i don't like that because i know they just want the candy and couldn't care less about dressing up. but the little ones are different - ESPECIALLY if they're wearing a costume!!!

AWwww, your pics from Disney on Ice were so good!!! I would have loved to have went! Especially to see the Tink part!! So cute!!!!

Luke looks so cute on Halloween. Well heck, he looks cute in every picture!!:lmao:

thanks! i'm sure disney on ice will be back at some point. ;)

Hi Dawn! I absolutely adore your past trip pictures with Luke. He's really adorable. Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

thanks! i will tell anna you said so.

CUTE pics from Disney on Ice!

Thanks for the review on the Tinkerbell movie...I am excited to see it now!

thanks! yeah, the movie is really cute. you need to get it if you're at all a fan of hers!

File0006.jpg

and this is my FAVORITE picture from this trip. sooooo sweet! my baby sister just sat there in goofy's lap for like 10 minutes, just staring up at his big snout! he loved holding her and was really gentle with her - it was so sweet! ever since then my family has had a special bond with goofy!

File0017.jpg

so that's our 1984 trip....and my first memories of disney world! apparently october was a slow time of year then, too, because i don't see huge crowds in these pictures.

i will be back with our next trip in 1987 in a few days! :thumbsup2

Oh those pics are SO fun! I was born in 1984, so it's nice to see what Disney was like back then. The 1st year my dad went was the 1st year it was open, and I don't think I've ever seen pics of it back then, so it's totally cool to see that not a lot has changed in almost 25 years :goodvibes

Fun pictures from 1984 Dawn! It's nice to see how things have changed - and not at MK! It is really fun for me to see the hair and clothes, etc. because my oldest DS is 2 months older than your little sister! I was 25 then. We thought we were so cool! :rotfl:

Those are great! Baby sister is precious! Won't it be so fun when you and Ray go back with your own little one and take pictures like those? It will add a whole new element to your Disney trips!

Thanks for sharing those with us. The Goofy one is very cute. You look like you were just so happy to have him messing with you.

I can see your brother in that picture of your dad.

I would make fun of your dad's short shorts, but I know that in another twenty years, we'll be making fun of the shorts we wear today, so I better not. I could pull some short shorts pictures out, too, and even worse. I have some of my dad in the three piece leisure suits with the loud swirly shirts. Man, he was stylin' at the time, but now they look just about dorky.

Those are so great! I only have a few pictures from being a little girl in Disneyland- I'm so excited to finally have some pics of my own kids at the WORLD!

Those pictures are so cute!!!!!

YES!!! You have to recreate the shot of you at the castle waving!!!!!!!

thanks

i wish everyone thought that way, it was mostly the older people that said something, all of the younger ones thought he was so cute, and gave him extra candy for it.

nice thing was that some of the people around my parents house, and some of our close neighbors, gave him a special bag with stuff he could use, like books, clothes, and light up toys...that was very nice

loved the old pictures, wonder if i could wrestle some of them away from my parents, maybe i will just try and take apicture of them and go from there.

Dawn great pictures. You too were so cute. I love looking at old pictures too. My mom has pictures of me and brother's first trip to WDW, I was 8 as well. We were there in Dec and it was crowded. We went to FL to visit my grandpa who used to go and stay with his sister during the winter months and for christmas one year he bought us plane tickets. Just for me and my brother though (poor mom had to stay home). We left the day after Christmas and stayed until after the New Year.

we only went to about 20 houses right around us, he did pretty good on the candy, but we still got some mean people that said, well you are to little for trick or treat candy, so what do mom and dad want (they said it in rather pissy tones), i wanted to say, hey it is the joy of us taking our little guy around on his first halloween, and see his expressions and having memories, you can have your candy back and ill show you where to put it, but i didnt, i just kinda smiled and said well thank you very much....i wanted to slap a few of those people

Two words for you next year - mischief night :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I LOVE the eighties!!! Those shorts and socks on your dad crack me up!!! You know we ALL looked like that. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I laughed out loud at Capt Hook's eyes!! Wow!!!  I'm glad they changed that guy.:rotfl:

Your walk down memory lane was great Dawn! I love seeing old pics like that :thumbsup2

Dawn - Your old pictures are so cute! Thanks for sharing!

And, I TOTALLY remember the days of no character lines - what a mob scene it was!:scared1: And, actually, we went to DisneylandParis last summer and they didn't have lines there. Our first day, Minnie Mouse just walked onto Main Street and there was this mad rush over to her. I didn't even see a handler anywhere near her. Of course, I still managed to shove my daughter and her friend up front for a picture!;)

i will be back with some responses (and possibly an update - not sure yet) either later today or tomorrow. i'm currently walking out the door to go to a holiday merchandise event they're having at our civic center (hope i don't spend too much!), THEN i'm going by home depot to get mickey heads for our countdown because monday we will be at 30 DAYS!!!!! can you believe that???? i can't! wish me luck - i have to get LOTS of mickey heads because anna's making a countdown too. i hope i don't go to mickey head swiper jail.

Dawn,
Thanks for scanning the pictures from your 84' trip. You and your sister are so cute. You look so happy in all the pictures. I was wearing clothes like that, and my husbands shorts were ridiculously short! So I can't say anything.:rolleyes1 I love when people put the old pictures in the report, really fun to see.
Good luck at Home Depot, if the PCMH's aren't free they would have a price tag attached! 30 days, getting close.:santa: :santa: :santa:

Oh my goodness! How cute were you & your little sister? :) I love all of the pictures!

That goofy hat looks good on ya, girl!

Dawn, those pictures are great! I noticed that your goofy hat's teeth made it look like you had an eye patch in alot of the pictures!:rotfl:

your dad's short shorts and tube socks are hysterical! A real 80's moment!:thumbsup2

I hope your holiday shopping was fun and successful. I'm trying to stay out of stores right now to save all of my pennies for our trip. I am hoping to get some new Christmas ornaments from Days of Christmas, if they don't cost too much.

I'm pretty sure if there is a picture wall in the post office entitled
Ten Most Wanted: Mickey head swipers
you rank being up on the top row!
I look forward to seeing the new countdown calendar.
