~i'll be home for Xmas but 1st i'm going to DISNEY WORLD!~ TR link posted!

About the computer, three words: backup, backup, backup. And, any data can be recovered if you have enough money. :teeth:

Did it make any noise when it crashed? Sorry you missed half of DoI.

i do back up but it's impossible to do that every single day after every single job i have with my sound files. i just don't have the time to burn CDs after court every day. i do it every couple of weeks. and this hearing was the ONLY document i didn't have backed up besides just some minor things. no, no noise. just a blue DOS screen flashed and then it kept trying to restart. ray is very good with computers and he just called a little while ago to tell me that the only thing he couldn't save off my hard drive were my saved e-mails in microsoft outlook. so that's not too horrible. i'm glad i have a husband that knows this stuff and can do it for free!

I am so happy you married a smart man! I can't even imagine the feelings you had when you thought about everything that was on your computer! I'm glad that the most important things were able to be salvaged.

Good news about your computer!!! You are lucky to have a computer knowlegable hubby(and he likes Epcot now:goodvibes )

an update on....well, everything! we officially found the dog a home. ray's mom came and got him on sunday. they named him zolo (some cartoon character that ray's nephew likes) and he's doing really well so far. i'm glad he's somewhere where we can see him occasionally.

ray was able to salvage everything off my hard drive, so now he's reformatting my computer and we will just have to reload the software i need over the next few days. the only thing i lost was the saved e-mails i had on my microsoft outlook. that stinks but i can deal with it. i'm just glad i don't have to buy a new computer!

i will be reporting on disney on ice as soon as i can. i can't upload the photos right now because i'm using ray's computer and i want them to be on mine, so i don't want to have to upload them twice! so i'll be back with that later. it was a good show....what we saw of it anyway.

What a cute little dog! I hope you find his owners or a nice new family to love him.

It's so much fun to relive all your past trips with you! You always have such great pictures!

thanks! yes, he's a cutie. i'm glad i found him a home.

Keep the dog! ;) Our 3rd dog kinda fell onto us as well...I was visiting my sister in CA. She had basically starved her dog and left her tied to a doghouse b/c of her ongoing mental issues. Not that it's an excuse. Anyway, I told her I was taking the dog. So I booked the dog a flight with me on Delta and brought her home. The vet in CA didn't think she would make the flight but she did. 3 years later she is actually a little overweight and our best behaved dog! You just never know..some things are meant to be!! :confused3

so sweet of you to fly him home! zolo is a sweetie too - i'm glad we'll be able to see him still.

I love the picture of you on Dinosaur. Look at the "grandma" sitting next to you guys. She's not even looking up!:rotfl: That is totally me on that ride. I hate that ride. :scared1: :scared1:

i know! the guy in the front row cracks me up too - it's like he's arguing with the dinosaur!

I wish I could keep the dog, but I am so far away. he is too cute.

and of course I am reading your other report... I have only just posted a few times b/c I have been so busy at work.. i hate to say that I have been a lurker...:scared1:

no problem! lurk away! i do that sometimes too.

I LOVE that picture of Erin and Mickey! You can tell how happy she is by looking at her face. Gotta love Disney Magic. :lovestruc

:goodvibes

Awww, thanks, man! I love old Eeyore. I have about ten or twelve different ones, plus a picture frame and some other Eeyore goodies. I hope to buy that Jim Shore Christmas Eeyore when we go in November, if he doesn't cost too much.

that eeyore jim shore piece shouldn't be too terribly expensive. depends on how big he is. my most expensive one so far has been captain hook/smee and it was $65, but it was a pretty big piece.

The woman on Dinosaur appears to be saying a prayer.
Dear God, if You will not let this big old screaming dinosaur eat me, I will do everything right for the rest of my life.
Or at least through the rest of this day. Amen

:lmao: did you see the guy on the front row? he looks like he's arguing with the dinosaur.

I still think it's pretty cool that you got to meet the real UtahMama !

for real!!! it's like meeting a real-life celebrity. :cool2: she was super sweet and, believe it or not, her kids were so well-behaved. she always describes them as being little stinkers, but they were very polite.

Great pictures! I love the one of you guys in front of ToT. I am very jealous of your ability to put your hands up in a meaningful position on the rollercoasters! I am always the one with my eyes squeezed shut, knuckles turned white, and mouth gaping open!

i'm like that on ToT! and don't be fooled - as soon as we go over the drop i grab the bar. i tried to keep my hands up in the air on EE last year and when i did, we went around the corner and my neck snapped to the side and wouldn't come back to normal for about 30 seconds. :scared1: scared the crap outta me! i'm getting too old. :sad2:

You have sooo many really good pictures! I love going thru all ur old trips with you :goodvibes

thanks so much! i enjoy sharing them.

Looked like a fun bday trip with the girls. I went to WDW the first week of Sept.07. It was hot, but we did get free dining! I loved the Peter Pan tee. You always find the cutest tees. :cutie:

this was in late september and it was hot, but not as bad as the most recent trip i took the first week of september - it was horrible!

Hey Dawn! Yes our Reservation for Sci-Fi is for 12/12 at 11:00 though. We will just miss one another. I am loving your trip down memory lane. I wish I lived closer I loved that dog.

well, if we happen to see each other in passing, please say hello!

Dawn I am still laughing at the picture from Splash Mountain (sorry Erin). Thanks for the laugh this afternoon.

you're welcome! erin won't mind - i laugh at her expense all the time. :rotfl:

I think he looks adorable as a scarecrow!

Have fun watching Disney on Ice! :)

wasn't he cute??? :goodvibes

Awwwww that puppy is soooo adorable looking like a scarecrow! Have a good time at Disney on Ice!

thanks! he's so sweet.

I'm glad the puppy might have a home. He looked so cute as a scarecrow!! Hope you had fun at Disney on Ice

thanks! we had fun although we missed almost half of it!

I'm so glad the pup is going to a good home. He really looks a lot like a beagel we had, her name was Penny. I like Maple too :thumbsup2 . How was Disney on Ice, I hope it comes to CT soon I would love to go with the kids.

he is such a sweetie. i just love beagles - i don't think i've ever met one that wasn't good-natured. if you guys get to go see disney on ice, i hope you catch the whole show....unlike us!

Just wanted to poke my head in and say hi. I've been away from the Dis for over a week and am trying to catch up!

What a cute little puppy. I'm glad it sounds like you found him a home.

hi! thanks for stopping by!

Oh, I really hope that Ray's mom takes him.

Have fun at Disney on Ice! We went to the Atlanta Botantical Garden today -- it was such a lovely weekend for fall activities.

i bet you guys had a better day than we did.

Glad that the puppy might have a home now! Hope you have a great time at Disney on Ice! :goodvibes

thanks! he has a good home and i'm so happy about it.

What a cute puppy! I hope you were able to find it a good home. Good for you for not just leaving him out there in the park - two of our three dogs are strays we picked up - they are the best! They just seem to be forever thankful! :goodvibes

well, even if he wasn't a stray, whoever had him before wasn't taking care of him. he was covered in fleas and had worms. yuck! so he's MUCH happier now!

Cute doggy! I hope you found a home for him!

And I can't wait to see pictures of Disney on Ice!! It's coming here in December (odd that it didnt come just here now...from ATL to Augusta, would make sense, no?) and I cant WAIT to see it!

I hope your computer gets fixed! Thank goodness for computer smart hubbies! Mine is a Network Admin so he keeps ours running too!

be sure to get there before the show starts. :upsidedow funny - my DH has the same job title that yours does! ray works at an international stock market analysis firm and he's in their IT department and does the networking stuff. he loves his job!

Keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out with your computer!

thanks.....apparently it worked!

pixiedust: Aw Dawn, sounds like you need a little pixie dust!

Sorry the show wasn't what you were looking forward to, that sucks! And then to have to deal with an ill computer super-sucks! I hope Ray gets it working for you again.

Kiss those cute puppies and try to have a better day!

the show itself was awesome - it was just that we missed the first 2 parts that's a bummer. and i saw what you said on memom's TR about ray and i totally agree - my husband is awesome!

That doesn't sound like a good day at all. I'll be thinking good thoughts that your computer problems get resolved.

thanks....your good thoughts worked so far!

Oh no! Here's hoping your DH could get your machine back in working order...

thanks!

Dawn, so sorry you had a bad day. :sad2: I hope you can retrieve everything on your computer.

Did Ray's mom take the puppy? What is his name?

you probably already saw this, but yes she took the puppy and they named him zolo. :goodvibes

I hope everything turns out all right with your computer. Truly sorry about Disney on Ice show.....

thanks! it was not a good day.

I am so happy you married a smart man! I can't even imagine the feelings you had when you thought about everything that was on your computer! I'm glad that the most important things were able to be salvaged.

me too!

Good news about your computer!!! You are lucky to have a computer knowlegable hubby(and he likes Epcot now:goodvibes )

what more could i ask for???? :rotfl:

Hurray for Ray!!! :worship:

my husband's a rock star!!!!

I'm glad Ray was able to get the important stuff off, and that he knows how to do that stuff. It could have easily cost $100 to recover/reinstall all of the data. I'm also glad that the hard drive itself didn't crash!

while in college me and DW saw monster inc on ice, and finding nemo on ice, both very good shows, and also saw mickeys magic show a few years ago...that was pretty good as well..helps ease the disney blues in between trips.

Hey Dawn!!

I am glad you found the baby a home!!!

hey, everyone! just wanted to let you guys know that my stepmom sent me some pics from our disney trips as a kid. i had told her to send them so i could scan them in the computer and put them on CDs for her. so i will be updating with pics from our trips in 1984 and 1987 soon! i have to catch up on my work this weekend because i'm behind since my computer was down. but once i do that, i'll be able to scan in those pics. some of them are really funny!

oh, and since it's only 40 minutes away.......

:hmghost: :maleficen :sulley: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!! :sulley: :maleficen :hmghost:

i have court tomorrow at 1:00. blah! but i hope we aren't there too long because i want to get home and get ready for trick-or-treaters! i know one of the attorneys has kids, so hopefully she'll be in a hurry to get done!

Hi Dawn! I'm glad Ray could fix your computer - he's a Higglytown Hero! (that's disney, but you have to watch Disney Channel early in the am to catch it)

I'm so glad Zolo has a good home. I'll be waiting for your Disney Ice report!popcorn::

so who else froze their tooshies off trick-or-treating tonight???? it was 44 degrees here! :cold: i know that doesn't seem cold to some of you but i live in georgia and it is to me! i've been here since 1997 and i don't think it's ever been that cold on halloween. i had my winter coat on! anyway, hope you guys had a fun and safe halloween!

I think we got home to early to be in the cold! Hollie decided that she was done and she wanted to go home and watch a movie!!:lmao:
Oh, and here is a picture just for you!

100_16891.jpg

It was chilly here too, but not so bad that everyone needed to coat-up yet. (Of course we were home by 7:30...)

Glad your comptuer is fixed!! I was wondering where your updates went, but now it all makes sense! Glad your in-laws took the dog too!
