Tuesday 21 December
No more snow had fallen - it was good news. We had our breakfast, packed and went to the Park. We expected it to be busier today as the weather had cleared up locally and we were now only 4 days from Christmas.
We stared off on Peter Pan and then POTC and then went to Indiana Jones unfortunately there was a breakdown here and it was 10.40 before we left this ride.
We went into Fantasyland and onto Casey Jnr my idea of a thrill ride! We had a ride round IASW and then decided it was time for our lunch even though it was only 11.55. Well, all this Christmas jollification makes you hungry.
We had a lovely lunch in the Silver Spur, where the band was playing. I love their prawn cocktails they serve there, inside a giant tortilla. So nice.
We went over to Discoveryland then, got FPs for Buzz and went in to watch Captain Eo. Youve got to love all those 80s hairdos and exercise clothes you see in the preview show.
We caught the train from Discoveryland and went all the way round, back past Discoveryland and to Main Street. We love to do this on our last day like saying goodbye to the Park. Lots of people were going in to see Father Christmas.
It was time for our Buzz FPs so we went in for a last blast of those lasers. I didnt write down who won (so that probably means it was Dtr).
We just had time to get in a ride on Snow White and one last one on IASW before going to the bottom of Main Street to watch the Parade near City Hall. I love how it gets dark in the middle of the parade at this time of year so by the time Father Christmas comes along, it is more or less night time.
We didnt want to be too late back to the station, in case there were any problems. Lots of other people had the same idea and it was quite a long and crowded wait for the check-in to begin. We got talking to another friendly family so much so that their young daughter wanted to swap seats so that we could all sit together! No chance of swapping seats on that train, however it was packed to the rafters (if it ever had rafters). At long long last we were on our way back to the UK after a lovely holiday in a really festive atmosphere. Still it was VERY good to be going home.
