Hi all! Busy here too learning the new job. It is going well!

Been coughing up a storm for going on 4 weeks now. Went to the doctor and was on prescription cough syrup and Benzonatate "pearls". They helped a bit but the cough wouldn't go away. Now I'm doing a z-pack.

Jim - love the new puppy. Congrats on all the news from your family.

Virgil - I've been seeing your work hours on Facebook. I get tired just reading your schedule.

Irene & Suzanne sounds like your families have both been busy as well.

Hi folks, what a cute puppy Jim. You need to be kind to Clover - she may not be used to running her cute little paws off.



Congrats to Lisa on her Advanced Open Water - is there a trip to Key Largo in the future?

Clover is on a long term training program. This morning she ran a slow 3 miles. She is currently the slowest in the family.

She was so tired she came home and went back to bed in her crate. A tired dog is a good dog.

Tomorrow Clover has a long walk. I want to see how far she can walk without giving up. I need to find out if she can walk to work or if she will need a ride. I'm hoping for the walk so she can wear her backpack.

During AOW Lisa learned that wrecks do have fish too!! There has been some talk about the Vanderberg or SG. Matt is talking about coming to Florida for Christmas so there might be an opportunity for Christmas in the Keys.

The max depth at Ginnie Springs is about 100'. It is a long cave system, but not very deep. In Ocala is 40 Fathoms where they do a lot of trimix training, but that is only 230 ft.

The only place to dive real deep in Florida is the ocean and there is a lot of places to do that, mainly wrecks off the east coast.

We have signed up for some deminars, and the the PFTS, of course. We are also trying the fist Food and Wine Classic at the Swan and Dolphin. It appears they are doing a test run this year, and hope to expand next year. It coincided with a night we would be there anyway so it will work for us.

Jim - Diving in December - can you say brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! (fast forward to reply - Jim will say dry suit....)

GaRRy - ok, let me see.... retirement or work.... ya really want me to answer that one?

Anyone hear about the diver in Central Florida who is going to live in the lake for a week, by himself, underwater, completely, in an upside down boat, for a week. uh, huh....


Virgil - kudos to Lauren, that is ambitious. What does she plan to major in. I recall a discussion (oh, 2 years back) but do not recall what was selected.


Stacey - how is Megan? (well she does have 2 kids now).

Jim, you are a maniac with the exercising! Cute doggie. Bruce will be running his first marathon in Dec. I would love for him to do the Disney Marathon but it just doesn't work with school schedules.

I'm going to have to start checking the main boards again to see when 2012 dates are released. We booked a dummy date hoping that '11 would have 7-night cruises out of PC. That didn't happen so I'm hoping for something in '12.

Mary, hope you're feeling better by now.

Today is only Monday & I'm officially pooped! Trying my hardest to get in to shape again. Went to boot camp tonight & have signed myself up for a 6-week core class.

We in to the full swing of hectic school/activity mode. Emily is dancing 3 nights a week and Ashley is doing soccer & gymnastics.

Seriously I'm enjoying this over the extreme 90's w/high humidity of a few weeks ago.

I did my run tonight and it actually felt great. I did not come home soaked in sweat.

Clover and I played outside and remembered why we live in Florida....the weather is perfect.

Just a quick catch-up for now, more later....after the mail that's piled up for a month & a half and unpacking.

Megan got test results back from her doctor and they were basically inconclusive. It was suggested by the primary care and her OB, that she have a scope done of her esophogus...not sure if she'll do it, or just continue doubling her meds for now. Either way, on the whole, she was feeling better.
She's just really, really lucky that the two babies are both so very good.

Being home is kind of weird. It's like I just don't quite know what to do with myself. After surviving the heat in Florida, the Bahamas, and the first week or so in the Midwest, I'd really been enjoying the cooler weather and rain they'd been having in Omaha. Now I'm plopped back into that dry icky heat. About the time I get used to it, we'll have our "fall".

Jim....Clover is a beauty!! Take it easy on her. I know our vet had to remind Jared that those soft little paw pads take some time to build up to be tough enough to not hurt them when they're out running.

Mary....I really am hoping the Z-pack worked for you. Not liking the sound of a cough lasting that long. Which reminds me, I need to go get my flu shot one of these days.

I'll have you know that I had to saw a HUGE HUGE branch into small, manageable pieces at my Dad's house, and I walked away 100% unscathed. I think perhaps the curse is lifted!!

Glad you "saw" the branch. But if you "saw" it in small pieces, is it time to get your eyes checked.
