Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

We loved being forward because it was quiet. We always took the forward stairs. 1st cruise we were deck 7 & last cruise we had a SPH on deck 5. Both were porthole rooms. We loved deck 7 because we were so close to deck 9 then loved deck 5 because the club/lab were just down the hall from our room. Again we tended to take the forward stairs everywhere. So I guess we make the most of whereever we are. Sounds like we will like the quietness of aft too. The only thing I won't like is not having a porthole ... but I'll be on a cruise so I'll get over it quick! Just means more time I'll be spending outside on the decks.

Ang

Yes but you'll have the new virtual porthole right? Those look cool.

Will there be fireworks on the Fantasy?
What shows will be on the Fantasy?
Will the menus be the same?
Can I make a flight that's two minutes after scheduled disembarkation?
Will I be bored on sea days?
Will I like_____________?
What will the wait times be for the aqua duck?
Looking at the deck plans, what are all the shaded areas that aren't labeled?

No booking of the Fantasy for us. We have a record (for us) 3 cruises booked. NYE on RCCL Voyager out of Galveston with my parents, July Disney Dream with John's parents (they booked us a balcony - kids are disappointed - they wanted the virtual porthole) and John and I have RCCL Mariner for January 2012 out of Galveston booked. Will dump the Mariner if the rumors are true for the Disney Magic porting out of Houston/Galveston. Carnival is bringing their Magic to Galveston in 2012, we may have to finally give Carnival a try.

THANK YOU for bringing the Main Boards right to me!! :lmao:

All these rumors!!

Carnival wasn't bad, really. I think as long as it isn't a short cruise, or during Spring Break, then they're pretty normal. I'm going again with my friend in January for the 2XCabo cruise. I really liked their food, and I'm picky. Chocolate melting lava cake for dinner every night....if you're in to chocolate. ;)

Yes, that will be cool.
Ang

Our friends booked one on purpose. I can't wait to see what it's like. I watched a video about them. I didn't realize that they had cameras around the ship and that they stream "real time" views. I thought it was all "pretend"...or should I say "Disney magic"???

Have to finally get it in gear today. I have some cooking and baking to do for the "First Annual Cave Creek Potluck"......all of us have lived out here for 20-30 years, always talked about getting together at the creek for a picnic, and now we're finally doing it.

Nick is here in Arizona, and we were hoping he could come to this great epic ;) event...but he has to work tomorrow, so he's coming out today after the WVU game!

That was my favorite part of Carnival. I was actually telling my sis about that yesterday. The food was ok to me. I liked DCL better. We'll see what my opinion is next year ... going on a 5-night out of New Orleans.

Do you where you see the video? I thought it was all Disney magic.

We had a really nice visit with Nick....what a great guy!

See Stacey, at least with us you can be as snarky as you want without getting into trouble ;) The stupid questions annoy me too - but, so far, I've resisted the urge to post a smart alec remark.

Angie, RCCL Voyager will be in NOLA November 2011-April 2012. A great ship, this is her last winter in Galveston, we've sailed on her twice.

Thanks Stacey! I didn't realize it would be a live feed w/ the animated stuff thrown on top. Pretty cool. Now I'm excited about having the virtual porthole. Maybe the sun really will wake us up in the a.m.

Ang

I had no idea, either. I was pretty excited about them, finding out they actually showed your own view. And how fun for the kids to wait and see which characters are going to show up next!!!

Someone just asked if anyone knew if there would be a "secret staircase" down to Animator's (like there is on the Wonder & Magic) for the MUNSTER drill.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Next time I go, I'm going to be watching for Herman, Lily, Eddie and Grandpa to show up.
:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

THOSE are the ones that are REALLY hard to ignore!!

Thanks Monica. I'll have to go check that out. I'm trying to get my family (sis & her family, bro & his partner & our parents) to go on a cruise with us but my sister has been non-commital. She wants to go on one of the RCCL ships. May need to go see what one has to offer & see if we can go over next Christmas. I think my parents would love DCL, though.

Ang

Hey Monica....Nick said to tell you "hi"....;););)
He had to come all the way to Arizona to get together with DIS friends. :rotfl:

He'd said they'd run into you guys a few times, though. I had to remind him what it's like to shuttle two kids from one activity to another, besides working your own job, and how little time that leaves at the end of the day. He'll find out when they have kids.

Where's that pot stirring smilie...Stacey's on the main boards again.

I was pretty nice about it. It's just all too stupid. He says this, she says that....and there are newbies who are going to be mighty disappointed if they take the word of people who don't know what they're talking about.

And yeah....I'm guilty. It's fun.:stir: I've got nothing else to do until picnic time. :rotfl:

Ok, those of your cruising next year on the Dream will have to give me the run-down when you return.

I know that the new ships haven't be built yet, but how is the aft of the ship? Stacey, don't you always stay aft? Our 2 DCL cruises were forward & we liked it. We're booked in an aft cabin on the Fantasy ... not worried about it, just curious about the motion. I wanted to go as cheap as we could go to get us on DCL again so I wound up with cat 11B. I wanted 11C but there were no 11C rooms left. I guess since there are soooo many rooms on the new ships, they won't go with GTY just yet. This will be our first cruise with an inside cabin. Guess I'll have to take an alarm clock so we don't sleep through the whole cruise! Also new for us will be late dining. Now that the girls are getting older & we're always on the go, we're eating later & later at home.

Ang

Ang, we have always stayed aft....I guess we should throw caution to the wind and try forward.....:rotfl2:

We are on the MV so I hope to have 24/4 to explore the new ship.

Who needs sleep///:laughing:
