Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

We are trying to shoot for Aug 25, 2012 on the Fantasy (7 nite Eastern). 5 nites was just not enough!! I would have NEVER believed that I would be "one of you". I honestly thought last year's cruise was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. That is until I sailed:lmao: I am trying to figure out how to make a med cruise happen!! I think that would be awesome! Now if I could only win the lottery:rolleyes:

Winning the lottery WOULD do it!! :thumbsup2

Yes, Susanne, it's like a drug. Once you've tried it, you're hooked.

It seems funny to even THINK about sailing on a ship that isn't even built yet.

I really didn't think I'd go on the Dream, and not sure I like all the changes, but thanks to Vanessa, I will be doing that one for sure.

I was looking at the deck plans on the Dream and asked someone why there were cabanas up on a deck where there wasn't a pool. The answer was something along the line of "being near the buffet"....and I thought "Why do they want cabanas near the buffet???"
:headache::headache::headache: Obviously I'm leaking brain matter somewhere.....duh...the new buffet is NAMED Cabanas. :sad2::sad2::sad2:
This is going to be a whole new ballgame for me. I'll be forever lost, and that was one of the best things about DCL...I (almost) always knew where I was going....as long as no one planted a black bag in my path. :cutie:

Is anyone else getting really REALLY annoyed at all the posts on the main boards, asking what the room layouts, etc, are on the Dream???
Get real, people.....no one knows yet! :rolleyes2

I WOULD SAY

WHY ARE YOU ON THAT BOARD ??????????????????????????????????????

you know BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else cruising in 2012? I just moved our dummy reservation to 06/06/12 - Eastern on the Fantasy.

Yes, we are booked on a 7 Day Eastern - 7/28/12 to celebrate Lisa turning 18 and finally being able to enjoy the adult facilities.:cool1: I know she thinks the spa is calling her!

We just booked a 5 night Dream cruise for March 22nd with some of our friends from past Member Cruises. We get to sail on our birthdays!

Yay!!! I can't decide from Jared's attitude if he's excited about being able to go to the "adult" beach or eat at Palo on Vanessa's wedding cruise.
I think he's disappointed that he'll be too old to try out the new teen water area on the Dream.
Might as well get used to it, while being an adult has its perks, getting older kinda stinks! :rotfl:
I just can't believe he'll be 18 next summer, and 19 when the Fantasy comes out.
I might have to dump him and start taking my grandsons!:thumbsup2

I priced out the Fantasy for the date when the gals (plus hubbies) are sailing. I just about blew Jay's mind when I asked him about a trip that's two years out. :lmao: We'd been talking about Hawaii, but he still wasn't convinced that he even wanted to go there.:confused3 So I still don't know what exactly, we will do.

Oh, I was having fun there... :lmao:

For a lot of people the logic is if the outside is done, so should the inside... bzzzt! nope, thank you for playing. A lot of the inside is the absolute last thing they do after they make sure all the basics are working correctly. Probably not until they're up to the sea trials stage.

And even better....WHY do they think anyone HERE would know????
It's SO hard to not say "Are you flippin' STUPID??!"

Yes, I know....I'm supposed to stay off the main boards......but when it's late at night and I can't sleep, there's nothing else to do. But it just manages to raise my blood pressure.:headache:

Weeeell... Linda(seaulater) does, she was there not too long ago on the big mondo $$ excursion to go visit it. :thumbsup2

If I can be truly helpful to the honest ones, great.

For the ones that are just there to be soo incredibly negative (someone else in IL), I just laugh it off, they can keep on with their silly airs. :lmao:

Yeah, but even all those thousands of dollars didn't buy her the layouts of all the rooms.
Don't get me started on that. She could feed an entire small nation with that money.
:sad2::sad2::sad2:

Hey, If she's got the money to burn on something that over the top expensive, and then is willing to put up a trip report with pictures where I can experience the most important part of the.. event for the Big Wally price of >zero<, cool by me. :thumbsup2

Ok, those of your cruising next year on the Dream will have to give me the run-down when you return.

I know that the new ships haven't be built yet, but how is the aft of the ship? Stacey, don't you always stay aft? Our 2 DCL cruises were forward & we liked it. We're booked in an aft cabin on the Fantasy ... not worried about it, just curious about the motion. I wanted to go as cheap as we could go to get us on DCL again so I wound up with cat 11B. I wanted 11C but there were no 11C rooms left. I guess since there are soooo many rooms on the new ships, they won't go with GTY just yet. This will be our first cruise with an inside cabin. Guess I'll have to take an alarm clock so we don't sleep through the whole cruise! Also new for us will be late dining. Now that the girls are getting older & we're always on the go, we're eating later & later at home.

To me, the only "motion" in the back of the ship that I notice is when they have the thrusters out, going in to port. Then it's more noise and vibration than actual motion.
In rough seas, I've gotten more nauseated forward than I have aft.

The part about being aft that I like the most is that it's quiet back there. No kids running up and down the hallways...the elevators back there are less busy than midship, for sure, not so sure about the forward.
And I love watching the aft wake, and seeing the moon shining back there on all that water. Plus, we see more dolphins leaving port from back there...they follow the wake.

Almost forgot the biggest thing....I never get lost when I'm in the back...:

We loved being forward because it was quiet. We always took the forward stairs. 1st cruise we were deck 7 & last cruise we had a SPH on deck 5. Both were porthole rooms. We loved deck 7 because we were so close to deck 9 then loved deck 5 because the club/lab were just down the hall from our room. Again we tended to take the forward stairs everywhere. So I guess we make the most of whereever we are. Sounds like we will like the quietness of aft too. The only thing I won't like is not having a porthole ... but I'll be on a cruise so I'll get over it quick! Just means more time I'll be spending outside on the decks.
