:rotfl::rotfl: If not, I'll be happy to share my experiences. I just hope the wedding isn't in Michigan. How much fun is Michigan in October??:confused3

Proud Mom Moment!

Jared entered a sculpture in the Cave Creek Arts & Film Festival, and won second place in the Visual Arts category. He got a certificate and a $250 cash prize, and was asked to loan his sculpture to the Desert Foothills Library.

Actually the Midwest can be beautiful in October (says this October bride).

Beautiful! I'd love to see what first place was if this as 2nd place. Well done Jared!

I'm an October bride, too, but it was in Arizona, where it made sense. Sometimes it can be cold in October in the midwest, can't it?

First place was a drawing. I'll have to see if it's online somewhere. Nope, the website only lists the names of the winners.

I was an October Bride in SOUTH DAKOTA!! Opening day of Pheasant season!!!

Congrats to Jared!! That's a gorgeous sculpture. :cloud9:

Congrats to Vanessa & Chris!! We love happy news like this! :goodvibes

Sure but it can be bad weather on ANY date in ANY location. That's a chance a bride takes. October in the Midwest can have some beautiful crisp and sunny fall days. Of course it doesn't work for many of today's brides who have strapless gowns, but I wanted to wear satin and long sleeves and it worked out beautifully.

Vanessa became engaged this past week, she's talking about a wedding next October, 2011. Garry and Vicki can follow up with more details.

Now that all of our girls are getting to the marrying age, I think/hope we can have at least one or two more Blabbermouth Reunions!

October is a very good time to get married.

Congratulations Vanessa...

And points for Stacey for earning her calling as a blabbermouth....

That is very pretty.....I would look nice in our front room (hint hint).

Thanks for the invite! I would be honored! Getting back to reality has been hard but I keep dreaming of the next cruise and it make work easier!

I have to go through all my photos and see which ones to keep (out of the 500!!). Want to start printing them in anticipation of having time to put together a traditional scrapbook. When is the question of the day! If work keeps laying off it might be sooner than later (let's hope not).

Gotta run...this is the last charity poker event I have to do for Alexa's school for the year. It is a great fundraiser but takes lots of volunteers and getting them to commit is more than half the battle.

Alexa left for camp today. It is the first time she is going. Hate to admit it but it's kinda quiet around here. Hope she is having fun!!

Take care all!!

Welcome - welcome - welcome - It was nice meeting Alexa...and seeing the next generation of Diskids.

WDW is a great place for a Honeymoon in October.....

It sure is. That's where Mark and I honeymooned back in 1990 at the Grand Floridian on the Grand Plan.

UTOP with Irene and honeymoons.

PDFG and congrats to the bride and groom to be.

Thanks for the congrats - not sure I am ready for them yet

I am not ready to be mother of the bride :scared1:

I got to find out the date on Facebook - guess it's a good thing I'm DD's FB friend. (she did call her dad and tell him- maybe he was napping).

I don't think they are talking about a Michigan wedding - but Chris is in Colorado- so it could still be cooler weather. She is supposed to be back from her visit Thursday - so maybe I will learn more then.

I agree WDW is always the right place for the honeymoon - it is were we spent ours (springtime at WDW is beautiful). What are the dates for F&W in 2011 - maybe they will work that into the plan. princess:

Vicki, did she meet him in the CP? F&W is all of October, so any date would work. Maybe she will be a Disney bride?

You're right. I'd almost forgotten that my brother was married in late September and it was gorgeous. No strapless gown for her, either, but she never would have worn one anyway.

Aw, come on....I have some serious competition as a Blabbermouth.....

But I do promise that after she's married a while and there's a baby announcement for Vanessa, I'll let Vicki tell. :worship:
