Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

Should I tell her I'll save her a place at my table? :lmao::lmao:
Just a misunderstanding, honest.

You keep telling yourself that. :rotfl:

I found it. The NICE part is that Angie and Dennis are wanting to book it. SUCH nice people!

They are a very nice couple. Loved sharing a table with them on the 10 day.

I hope I get to be the first one of the day....for several reasons. :rolleyes1

No lemon-lime, huh? What are my other choices? Can I mix it with Pepsi??
The whole day-before thing is way different than all the other times I've had one. I found my records (which will be handy for the new doc) and the last one was in 1999....at least that I have a record of. Bad girl.

Well it might be different for you but the whole day before for me was clear liquids only. Nothing with any red or purple color. My drink came with 4 flavor packets but I don't think they really flavor the drink. I used the cherry and it was ok (didn't color the drink at all just added a hint of flavor).

I hope your dad wasn't as evil as mine. He carried a coffee cup full of hot coffee (not a travel mug) while I learned to shift gears. :scared1:

hope the bike has snow tires for the winter....:rotfl2:

My Daddy took me to the top of a hill and then made me learn to drive the stick!!!!!

Guess what direction I went in?????

Bragging time - Lauren was selected for the WV Governor's Honors Academy. This is a big honor - she is one of 180 students from across the state - she gets to spend 3 weeks at WVU - going to lectures, traveling, etc...

I am very proud of her!

Congratulations Lauren --- GREAT Honor.......:thumbsup2

Saw my primary care doc today, and have to go to the gastroenterologist on Friday. I'd been putting it off and putting it off, and now I don't have a choice. :guilty:
Will probably be scheduling a colonoscopy for next week, or as soon as they can get me scheduled.

gaRry....wanna come down and drive me??

Best of Luck Stacey...

Interesting mix of cruises. I don't see us changing our 2012 plans.

I'd rather do a full week at Aulani than a 15 day cruise that only includes a few days in Hawaii. No way we could take that much time off or spend those kind of $$$$ any way.

The Canadian ports are what interest me but that will have to wait for another year.

I was hoping if DCL was sailing out of New York that they would be doing Bermuda.

The Galveston sailings might be something we'd try in a different year.

Juest heard about the new ports....

Ponder - ponder - ponder....

Sam's came pre-flavored - he used Berry!

Megan and Garry both had a different "day before" than what you and I have had in the past. Before, mine was clear liquids all day, too. Guess I'll just have to wait and see. Joy.

I have a room on the Hawaiian cruise, but I doubt I'll keep it. The money seems reasonable for 15 nights, $6492 for two adults, Cat 6A. But I really would like to find out how that compares to a "land trip". I looked at AAA, but their website for reservations is down right now.
Mary, did you book Disney with points? Any idea what it comes out to in dollars?

We haven't booked yet and won't until November because our booking can only be 11 months out. However in checking my points we can get an ocean view one bedroom for 6 nights which is what we wanted (we'll have a night in San Francisco at the beginning of the trip and a few days at Disneyland at the end).

Go to the Disney site http://resorts.disney.go.com/aulani-hawaii-resort/about-aulani/ and you can find out how much it would cost for the dates you want to go. Aulani has both a hotel side and the DVC side.

Christmas out of Galveston is another thought, but there are so many other cruises going out of Galveston and Houston that I KNOW would be less $$ than DCL....so that would have to wait another few years, if ever.

We started planning a family holiday cruise in 2012 out of Galveston last year after having such a good time on RCCL's Voyager over New Year's Eve. I've spent the past two days coordinating with my dad, brother, and TA in preparation for tomorrow - We're all doing the Christmas Cruise, my dad prefered DCL over RCCL having now sailed both of them with us...and if mom & dad are happy....

Our TA booked herself and her husband first thing this morning to give us an idea - Dec. 21 (8 day) is $6602.16 with insurance for two people in cat. 5C, 11B is $3699.12 with insurance. December 29(7 day) 2791.68 for 11B.

The 15 Night Hawaii cruise priced out cheaper than that. Wow, how crazy is that? Or about the same, anyway. $6492. for 2 adults in a Cat 6A.

Final booking (gulp!!!) for Galveston Christmas - 8 day- 5C - Passenger 1,2 - $3012; Passenger 3,4 - $1592...

ok - I just looked - prices went down (?) she quoted us $6600 adults 5C taxes & insurance - no transfers yesterday... and final booked 2 adults - same - $6116 today - Don't know how that happened - but I'm not complaining!

Awesome!!!

Awesome!!!

Nah, I spoke too soon, she just e-mailed an answer - it didn't have insurance - it's the same price as yesterday....

Rolling my eyes at everyone complaining about the high prices - obviously, they need to go back to basic consumer economics. Special itineraries, new departure ports, new ships - do we have a head slapping smilie? No one is forcing us to hit the "Book A Cruise" button...

calling for 80 here today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and I should be in florida today !!!!!!!!!!

well might leave on tuesday needed paper work on horses and it has NOT made it here yet !!!!!

Rained here all day yesterday and I'm not sure it even got up to 50. Crazy weather.
It's our Fiesta Days weekend, so that really put a damper (ha) on things. We didn't have plans to go to the rodeo anyway, so that wasn't a big deal. Not as many people out for the parade, though.

My colonoscopy is scheduled for Tuesday morning. Tomorrow should be loads of fun. I found out the difference between the preps....Garry's was for a routine "screening" test, and Mary's and mine are "diagnostic"....the difference being whether they are following a person for problems, or just doing the test as part of a routine physical when people like us get old. ;)

Just what everyone wanted to know, huh??

Well that might be the case for you Stacey but it wasn't for me. I've had the same prep for all three and the first was just routine.

Huh...well, maybe it's just different doctor preferences, then. I've only ever had the same prep, too.
:confused3
Either way, no fun and I'll be glad when it's over.

Guess I should think about going for my test, seeing as I am "at that age". Having a hard time comprehending this aging thing. Not me. Not yet.

Congrats to Lauren - what an honor!

Lisa - the bike thing MAY take you through October but after that there is no way you could ride a bike around campus. You would lose your fingers!

My own little brag corner - Alexa brought me home another straight A report card (3 out of 3 card markings!!). For 10, she takes school pretty seriously. She just got braces this week so it has been challenging to find things she can eat.

Also this week I got a new 12 y.o. foster child. She seems to be adjusting well but what a sad case (aren't they all??). Out of the 7 kids in her family she is the only one that was physically abused. The other kids held her down while Mom beat her. She is all scarred up and has a new one on her nose where her mother bit her! Who does that??? Anyway, it has been a busy week buying the basics, enrolling her in school and settling her in. Meeting with her worker tomorrow and hoping to get some more information.

garRy - how about this crazy weather! It hit 80 today! Tomorrow is closer to normal but it was beautiful wasn't it?

Wishing everyone a great week!

Gosh and just when I was feeling sorry for myself because of
"insert reason that really doesn't matter" along comes Suzanne and reminds me of what is important.

Give your foster child a big hug from all of us.

WAY to GO ALEXA...:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: What a great report card :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
