Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

The rumors had been NY in the summer & Galveston in the winter, I don't know if that's still the case or not - I just know that there have been articles posted in the Galveston paper about an imminent announcement. Cruise Critic is still leaning heavily towards RCCL Mariner year round.

As much as I love Disney and am proud of the Houston area- I don't think very many people outside of driving distance will be happy if the Magic comes here - it isn't a vacation destination like NY, Florida or California. We do have an empty cruise terminal about 15 minutes from our house built under the "Field of Dreams" philosophy - that would be perfect for Disney and it would cut our drive in half...:lmao:

Seems to me a lot of West Coasters would want to cruise out of Houston or Galveston....I know I would. The MR gets boring after a few times, and it isn't a long flight. Where can I vote?? ;)

Bragging time - Lauren was selected for the WV Governor's Honors Academy. This is a big honor - she is one of 180 students from across the state - she gets to spend 3 weeks at WVU - going to lectures, traveling, etc...

I am very proud of her!

MAJOR congrats to Lauren!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Just realized that there's a Hawaii cruise tucked in there. One of my dreams come true....if it's true. Not particularly the best time to go, though....personally. And probably a lot of $$$$$$$$$$. But darn, that would be nice!

Saw my primary care doc today, and have to go to the gastroenterologist on Friday. I'd been putting it off and putting it off, and now I don't have a choice. :guilty:
Will probably be scheduling a colonoscopy for next week, or as soon as they can get me scheduled.

gaRry....wanna come down and drive me??

Looks like the cat is out of the bag early!!:woohoo::yay::cheer2:
Now, to save up the $$$$$$$

DISNEY'S NEW CRUISE PORTS!!!

http://www.dynamictravel.com/disneytexascruises.htm

RCCL put huge longhorn horns on the Voyager when it arrived for the first time - I wonder if Mickey will at least wear a cowboy hat?

Isgren Dinner and Shuttle service will be ready although y'all may have to detour to attend a Friday Night football game... ;)- There's nothing like Texas high schoolfootball - ok - maybe a Michigan-OSU game....

Oh darn, these will have to be no-kids cruises!!!:rolleyes1 We may live on the edge and go for the repositioning from NY. :cool1: Otherwise, we have to anticipate the football schedule staying away from the end of October-Early November. The Senior band members are usually acknowledged at the last home game. I can't believe I'm already planning around my baby boy's Senior Year.

The kids briefly asked about Thanksgiving 2012 and then realized that this will be close to finals, the teachers loaded up on projects during the break and most importantly, the following week is important band auditions. They decided even though it would be cool, they didn't want to go away for Thanksgiving. Sometimes, I see glimpses of their maturity...

Still hoping for NYE cruise on the Magic out of Galveston since they haven't released those dates yet.

Interesting mix of cruises. I don't see us changing our 2012 plans.

I'd rather do a full week at Aulani than a 15 day cruise that only includes a few days in Hawaii. No way we could take that much time off or spend those kind of $$$$ any way.

The Canadian ports are what interest me but that will have to wait for another year.

I was hoping if DCL was sailing out of New York that they would be doing Bermuda.

The Galveston sailings might be something we'd try in a different year.

Congrats to Lisa & Lauren! Great job girls!

Stick shift ... don't know if I could still drive one. I used to do ok in LA where it was flat. I used to break out in a sweat in Bruce's truck when we lived in Vegas & I has on a hill. I always feared rolling back in to someone behind me.

Mary, are the 2012 Alaskan ports different than the cruise you'll be taking this year? Seems like '12 will be leaving out of Seattle whereas you're leaving out of Canada, right?

Girls are on spring break this week. Sadly, we didn't go anywhere. I've been able to work from home this week so the girls are enjoying their time off. I'll take off Thurs. & Fri. so we can find something fun to do.

Angie - yes the Alaskan ports are the same. The difference is that it will be leaving out of Seattle (which is cheaper to fly into than Vancouver) and that it stops at Victoria in Canada for its foreign port.

Wish this year's cruise would have been out of Seattle. When they were offereing those specials, airfare to Vancouver made the cruise cost-prohibitive for us. I remember seeing how much cheaper it would have been to fly to Seattle. Still no vacation plans for us for 2011. Still trying to figure out what to do. Bruce said a week ago that we could do WDW again. But there are no specials now. Wish he would have mentioned something a month or so ago. Oh well.

Raining a little and cloudy here today, too. Good for the plants, though.

I want so badly to go to Hawaii on DCL. Probably still a dream, but am waiting for a price quote.

Christmas out of Galveston is another thought, but there are so many other cruises going out of Galveston and Houston that I KNOW would be less $$ than DCL....so that would have to wait another few years, if ever.

Your pal Bip has already started a thread.

No Hawaii for us. That is during gymnastics season.

If they do it after Fall 2012 we could do it because someone will be gone to MSU!!!

I hope I get to be the first one of the day....for several reasons. :rolleyes1

No lemon-lime, huh? What are my other choices? Can I mix it with Pepsi??
The whole day-before thing is way different than all the other times I've had one. I found my records (which will be handy for the new doc) and the last one was in 1999....at least that I have a record of. Bad girl.
