She is now having a problem with her knees. The outside muscles are very strong, but the 1 muscle inside the thigh is not as strong. She has grown so much that the muscles have not stretched out as fast as the bones have grown and it has pulled her knee caps out of alignment. She is now taller than I am.

I have company coming this weekend, so I wanted the outside decorations done. But they aren't. I needed the tall guys to help, and they weren't home. I won't do any of the inside decorating until after Thanksgiving, that IS a rule.

I can't believe that my outside lights will go up so late this year... Ray left on November 8 (too early to put them up) and won't be back til December 8!!! Our big annual party is on the 12th... so I hope he has time to put them up when he gets home!! I can't imagine my house without Christmas lights!!!

Thanks, Stacey. For those of you who don't know, Mom is facing more surgery on Tuesday to try to save her other leg. At this point, we're praying for miracles, as human science probably isn't gonna be enough at this point.

Good Morning All!

Back to reality this morning. It's cold, wet and windy. A good day to stay in bed if itI didn't have to take a group of girls early to school for morning basketball practice.

We had a very nice week. John's parents spent their first holiday with us. As usual, we went to John's aunt and uncle's house and had our traditional feast with the neighbors. 18 people, 3 turkeys, 2 kinds of stuffing, 2 kinds of mashed potatoes, 2 kinds of green beans, sweet potatoes, dumplings, rolls, bread, and I can't remember what else. It has always been a double Thanksgiving, the neighbor cooks her traditional dinner to add to ours - like we would run out of food... Then the desserts - 3 pumpkin pies, cherry pie, apple pocket pies, apple pie, cookies, kolaches, brownies.

We are back in town. Sharon and I spent the holiday in Michigan wondering why we ever leave Florida. Cold and dark is the best description.

We got to see all the family and had a good time.

Lisa was with her other family on a RCL cruise. She had the bettertjme. They spent one day in Nassau and did not have any problems.

Good Day All - I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had a traditional holiday - so traditional that I did not jump on the new technology to wish everyone a wonderful Day. We watched the parade, cooked, ate turkey with Mother, went shopping on Black Friday, Sam worked, ate more turkey, watched a movie, put up the outside lights, did I mention ate more turkey, had a patio fire. Did I say we ate turkey? Sam cooked a 21 pound bird on the grill (for 3 people).

Scoopie had a good time watching the Parade, I'll have to post pictures, but he misses his family, so he will be in the mail soon, I promise.
