Tutto Italia is a part of a chain that has most of their restaurants at theme parks, office buildings, museums, theaters and ice rinks.

I was sitting down to update my dining trip report, Niki's Nightly Nom Noms, to include Il Mulino. In fact, I started last night and lost it. Bummer.

Anyways, I like both of them alot. But Il Mulino is not my MOST FAVORITE restaurant on Disney property. Although the waiters are more handsome at Tutto Italia, LOL, the food is far superior at Il Mulino. You get freebies there, as well. We got a great amuse busche and the best lemoncello I have had to cap off the night. If you love seafood, Il Mulino is the place. The Tartufo is one of my favorite desserts of all time!! It was recommended by a judge friend of mine, and it did not disappoint.

Another benefit of Il Mulino is that you can get a Restaurants.com gift certificate of $25 for about $2 on most days. Visit the website. It has great deals. With the discount and freebies this is a great deal.

If you are not on the dining plan, Il Mulino is the way to go.

They are both very good food wise but Il Mulino is much better for service, atmosphere and a more relaxing non rushed meal...plus you get a free lemoncello at the end of your meal

nice selection of meats, fish and pasta dishes

wonderful Italian (and others) wine list. All the waiters are instructed in wine tasting and can recommend a varietal to your liking.

That's a farily misleading characterization of the quality of many of the Patina Group restaurants. While I agree that at WDW, Il Mulino is the better choice, the flagship restaurants of the Patina Group (especially Patina, which was, for most of its life, a stand-alone restaurant in West Hollywood and now occupies a space in the Disney Concert Hall) are outstanding by any measure. Lincoln, Cafe Pinot, and Pinot Bistro are all excellent. Better than any of the Il Mulino locations, IMHO. The fact that they have partnered (overextended?) with Macy's, museums, concert halls and ice rinks for many of their casual places should not be an indictment of the quality of the top end restaurants. That would be like calling out Spago-Beverly Hills and Postrio simply because Wolfgang Puck has opened eateries in airports throughout the U.S.. Like Wolfgang Puck, Joachim Splichal still enjoys a fine reputation at the high end of his spectrum. But Tutto Italia falls below this mark.

We have only been to Tutto Italia. We did it as part of the Candlelight Processional package last month. Both DH and I thought the food was great! It was one of the better meals we've had in WDW. Granted, we haven't been to Il Mulino so I cannot compare. But if for some reason you're wanting to stay in the parks, I wouldn't hesitate going to Tutto. Everything from the service to food were wonderful.

One thing to keep in mind though, since we did this on the CP package, we didn't pay any attention to prices. I have heard people say Tutto is overpriced. But if that isn't a big concern, I would happily return to Tutto...and probably will on our next trip!
