...did your room have new furniture and bedding? They changed all the pictures on their website yesterday and it looks like a nice improvement, but I'm wondering if they put new furnishings in all the rooms or just some.

We just stayed there two weeks ago. I found the bed to be very comfortable, supportive but not hard. Our pull out couch had an odd plasticky feeling fabric (easy to ckean) BUT was super supportive for my step dad and his bad back.

We have always enjoyed the beds, one of the reason we keep going back, it is so funny how everyone has different preferences. Variety is the spice of life

We noticed this too! We're staying in the biggest suite (Family C10 maybe?) and it looked pretty good from the new pictures! Excited to stay in a couple weeks.

Absolutely - I will! We last stayed here when I was like 8, so it'll be interesting to see how much it's changed. We're pretty excited to stay so close this time (as opposed to staying at one of the hotels on the next block Harbor/Katella).

We just stayed there in the C2 family parlor suite (two bedrooms with 2 queens beds in each, a full bathroom in each) as well as a separate sitting room. We LOVED this room set up for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. The kids could go to sleep and the adults could stay in the sitting room. The only thing we had an issue with was how loud the corridors were while sitting in that little sitting room. But we didn't have any noise issues in the bedrooms which is surprising because the nightly fireworks are LOUD. You can hear them echoing like crazy but my kids were so exhausted they slept through it with no problems. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. I liked the new linens and the AC worked great. No weird smells and the shutters did a great job blocking out the light. We had plenty of space for our giant double stroller and all of our luggage, the pack n play, etc. Having a coffee maker in each room was perfect to get some caffeine in while getting ready in the mornings. We had one decent sized mini fridge and a microwave. We went grocery shopping and made our own lunches 4/5 park days which helped the budget and also kept us from overeating since we went big for dinner every night. The pool was indoor and rather small but my kids still had fun. Staff was nice. We didn't want housekeeping services at all since our toddler was napping every afternoon and the staff was generally pretty good at getting us anything extra that we needed since we didn't have the rooms serviced. I did a load of laundry in the guest laundry which was decently priced and the machines looked new.

The breakfast wasn't great but we knew that going in. It was mostly carbs (muffins, bread, bagels) with fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, coffee, milk, juice, and cereal. I don't eat breakfast besides coffee so this was perfectly fine for my kids to get some energy in before our long park days.

The absolute best part of this hotel? The 2-minute walk to security! One morning I realized we forgot the toddler's pacifier and there was a little bit of a line so I ran back to the hotel, got the pacifier and was back in line in less than 10 minutes. Another afternoon we made it from resting on the bed through security, through the Disneyland entrance to Jedi training in 10 minutes flat. There are so many hotels in the area and it was hard to pick. But I'm really glad we stayed here. It was reasonably priced for the size of our room, the parking fee was reasonable and we had no problem self-parking. The hotel location was so incredibly convenient for our family and the quick walk home at night was stellar. We stayed late 3/5 nights and it is really awesome to be able to watch fireworks then be back at the hotel and have the kids in bed within minutes.

We’ve end staying at homewood suites convention which we love. But we really need 2 full bedrooms.

Maybe it's the luck of the draw, but I've never minded the beds, and I am a huge bed snob. DH would tell you I'm a extreme, over the top, princess and the pea bed snob. I was worried when I saw that the mattresses were on the thinner side that they would be uncomfortable, but I was fine. DI&S is certainly a budget option, and not nearly as nice as Homewood, but it works for us on short, budget trips.

I booked this way back in February, so I got a pretty sweet deal on the price. Normally we're more all crammed in. Not concerned about the fireworks being that loud, because we're a group that does rope drop to midafternoon nap break then back to the parks until closing time. Good tip on the corridor being loud though. I had heard that in some reviews, so I'll just tell the group we may all want to bring ear plugs!

Good to know about the breakfast. I've been wondering about what all is included. It sounds like we may just want to supplement with some yogurt and call it a day. Where did you all go and get groceries from? We're driving over from Phoenix, AZ, so we'll have a car.

I booked this way back in February, so I got a pretty sweet deal on the price. Normally we're more all crammed in. Not concerned about the fireworks being that loud, because we're a group that does rope drop to midafternoon nap break then back to the parks until closing time. Good tip on the corridor being loud though. I had heard that in some reviews, so I'll just tell the group we may all want to bring ear plugs!

Ear plugs would certainly work. We also travel with white noise machines (or app on our tablets) and that helped a lot. None of the adults minded since it was only 930 pm. I didn't notice corridor noise from the bedrooms, only the living room, maybe because the door was there?

We also had a car and went shopping at Vons which is like 5 minutes south. We also walked down to Walgreens from the hotel to get some children's Dramamine which Vons didn't carry.

We all thought the beds were quite comfortable. They were firm without being hard and definitely not too squishy which I absolutely hate. It was WONDERFUL to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was so much easier to get ready in the mornings!

I didn't think of the white noise machine/app! Great idea. I'll look into that. I suppose it's up to the guys if they want to buddy up on the queen beds and avoid the sleeper sofa in the noisy living room.
