Can you tell me if they use a lot of cilantro in their food? I adore good Mexican food, but cannot stand cilantro. I'm happy to give SAI a try as long as it's not heavy on the nasty green stuff. :rotfl:

We've eaten lunch there the last 3 trips and I don't think I've ever had cilantro in my main course. I don't remember if it's in the salsa or not, but the salsa is very delish. I will say the food is excellent in there and I don't think you will be upset w/ making a reservation there. :thumbsup2

They don't use much cilantro there. My SO can't stand the stuff either and gets frustrated that it seems to be the herb du jour in everything right now. He has no problem finding things without it at San Angel, though. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything they serve that has it. But even if you find something on the menu that contains cilantro, you shouldn't have any problem asking them to leave it out. Everything is made to order anyway.

My wife and I love San Angel Inn, and I know she hates cilantro, so it must not be an issue. Request a table by the water when you check in!

Me no likey Cilantro at ALL. :crazy2: and I LOVE San Angel - :)
I had the Ribeye Tacos in August and they were fabulous - We have our dinner scheduled there next week.:goodvibes - Just ask your server for "no Cilantro" on whatever you order and it should be fine.

That's what I was hoping to hear. Thanks so much, everyone! Looking forward to our ADR there in Oct.
