If you've been moved by Disney, are you having to pay extra?

I'm booked CL AKL in mid July and I'm waiting for my turn to be changed. I was looking for some info before I get the call. For those of you at value/moderate resorts that are being placed in DVC rooms, have you had to pay extra?

If Disney moves you, then you don't have to pay. But you do not have a choice on resort - you get wherever they put you.

If you want to willingly change your dates or proactively move your resort (which idek if that is an option), then you pay the difference in price.

There is a report on another site that Disney is asking guest that got into Pop do pay up for their DVC stay? Sounds crazy, but I did read that.

We are not having to pay from moving with TA from beach club to poly for labor day weekend.

The only time I've seen people being told to pay is if they changed their dates. If they had a pre-park opening reservation but moved to when the parks would be open, right now the only resorts they can place people into are the DVC units.

That's what happened to us. We are booked for July 5th - 9th at POP. Called to change dates to when parks reopen but was told DVC rooms available only and an up-charge would apply. I opted to keep the pre-park opening dates and I'll see what happens from here. (sure wish I had changed our canceled April and May trip to a date further out.....oh well)

So far, we have no official confirmation what the policy will be. There have been those late August and early September moves...but that seems to be something different and not what is going on right now.

I do think the plan was to move with no charge as many people as possible...but again, no choice on where one goes and no changing od dates.

Makes me wish I had booked my fall trip at Pop instead of DVC rental. Would love to have gotten a free upgrade!

By fall this likely won’t be the case. These are summer reservations effected. I haven’t seen anyone with a fall reservation report having to move.

I was told via email by my Dreams Unlimited agent that if we kept same dates (trip is November 2020) that we will be moved without any additional cost. Date changes incur additional cost.

Other sites are saying only dvc resorts for the rest of the year. So if true fall/winter dates will be swapped or cancelled as well.

i see some mentioning not having a choice in where Disney moves you. How would that work if you are traveling with others and have multiple rooms? Since there is no way to actually link reservations, is it possible to make sure we all get moved to the same resort?

Did you have them note that you were all traveling together on each other’s reservations?

If not, then it is really an unknown.

I have not, at least not yet. Perhaps I will give a call and see if that can be added
