If you've been during Gay Days, what about crowds other than MK on Sat?

My concern during Gay Days is the crowds. According to the schedule on their website, it says Thurs - AK, Fri - MGM and Sat - MK.

We all know to avoid MK on Sat., but what about the other 2 days? Anyone know?

I can't seem to fit an MGM morning in during my week and Friday is the only day.

My itinerary just stinks this time.

We've been twice during Gay Days...1999 and 2002...and we'll be there in two weeks the same as you. Except for MK on "the Saturday" I wouldn't worry about it. We've never noticed it to be very bad. The crowds have always been manageable. Have a great trip.

We were there in 2000 and the crowds are about the same as Easter Week. Everyone is very respectable and my kids didn't even notice. I'd say go and plan your day and use fast pass and you will be fine.

The same as Easter week???? That's one of the most crowded weeks of the year. Did you find the entire week to be that crowded or just Saturday?

In 2001, the crowds were not bad in the other parks. However, pay attention to park hours. MGM closed early one evening when we were there for a private function.

What are the dates for Gay Days this year? I'm sure it's posted somewhere on these boards but I can't get the search function to work.

Thanks!

Easter Week???? No way. We've been there three of the past four years and will be there this year. We've been to the park of the day (other than MK on Saturday) and noticed absolutely no pickup in crowds and almost no red shirts.

This really is not a bad time to go to Disney. Gay Day IMO is not an issue except for Saturday at the MK. I can't guarantee they will do it this year, but Disney in the past has opened all parks early to resort guests on Saturday -- a letter is sent to everyone's room on Friday. One difference now, though, is that Saturday is not an early entry day at MK -- it used to be.

Because it is hot and the parks can get crowded, I highly recommend that you do early entry, take a nice long mid-day break, then go back in the evenings. E-nights are a lot of fun, too.
