do it NOW. I just got off the phone with Disney and it seems EVERYTHING is booked. I wanted to switch a reservation and it just wasn't going to happen. In deluxes, all they had available was AKL Standard View. That's it. Just a heads up.:thumbsup2

Thanks ! Why ? Are lots of schools closed ?? I have been looking for April 19 - 26th and there is not a lot to chose from. What is the big attraction ?

My girls have a 2 week break -- April 14-25. We are in NYS. From what I understand lots of schools have either one of those two weeks for a break, or else both of those weeks.

I booked yesterday for the last week of April (April 26-May 3) and had NO problems and TONS of availability in all categories.

our spring break is always the 3rd week in March, I tend to forget that the northeast is on break in late April. We went the last week in April 2 years ago and it was not super busy and great great weather, and I originally was going to book the same week this time, but pushed it back a week for various reasons. Looks like I made the right choice! We'll be there April 27-May 4, and attend the P&PP on May 2nd (DD's birthday).

I just called last night and added an ADR for May 3rd at Yak and Yeti, I had my choice of times.

Well, then they had something available. What exactly were you trying to book? A discounted room? Only in a deluxe? Did you try a moderate or a value? I don't think it's fair to say EVERYTHING is booked when there was something available and they only thing you mentioned was something in a deluxe.

I could say nothing is avialable next weekend because when I called they didn't have any annual pass rates or AAA rates for a value. But they did have a rack rate for a value and I never checked a moderate or a deluxe.

As far as AAA discounts go April 19-26th is pretty much booked for that week. I called pretty solid over the last month and a half to get my wife and I a AAA rate in the French Quarter standard. Having watch the reservation process closely as of late I really believe that rooms are held back and released in intervals.

My DD is out of school that week....we are going from
4-17 to the 25th...couldn't even stay for that last weekend....SW is
sold out.
I'm sure it will be crowded.....I hope the weather is good....lots
of time relaxing in the pool.

The last two weeks of April are vacation weeks for grades K-12 in New England states. Massachusetts is the week of April 16; New Hampshire is second week. The other NE states use either week.

Our DS's spring break is April 21-25 but our DN who lives two towns over from us is in March but is in a different district. Go figure.:confused3 So we decided to go April 16th - 24th. Our package has been booked since October.

Schools in our area are not off at Easter and instead off April 13-19...that could be adding to the issue...not everyone nationwide has the same school vacations. There are some local schools that are still keeping the time at Easter, but not many.
