If you're park hopping, where do you normally get a locker (if you do)?

Generally when we go for more days, I don't park hop, but for our upcoming trip, it's a one day trip, so we have opted to park hop this time and make a big, long day of it.

I have rented lockers in all three locations, but have never park hopped on a one day trip before.

I am leaning towards the ones in the esplanade because we can put our stuff there before the park opens, thereby not wasting precious early morning park time, and stop in when we go to one park or another, as needed.

What do you do?

TIA!

It depends on what I'm putting in the locker and when I anticipate needing to access it.

For example, last trip we rented a locker to put coats in after the early hours, knowing we'd want them again that night. That night we were going to F! in DL, so we rented a locker on main street (and before F! one of us ran and emptied the locker). There was no reason to run from DCA to the locker for anythng during the day.

I generally get a locker in Disneyland because that's the park we're most likely to be in in the evening when we want to get our jackets (and that's where we do the majority of our shopping). I found it was easier to get a locker in the park where you think you're most likely to need to access the locker than in the Esplanade because if it's out in the Esplanade, it means you'll have go through the ticket gates anytime you want to drop something off or pick-up something from the locker. If you can time it so you pick-up/drop-off things when crossing between the parks, then the Esplanade would be fine, but it didn't work out that way for me and I ended up having to exit/re-enter the parks a few times and depending on the lines at the gate, that can take a bit.

We do the esplanade and drop-off/pick-up when we're going across. Usually we use the ones next to the Guest Services by the DCA entrance. We usually end up shopping on the way out of either park so it's easy to drop purchases off in between.

With purchases, you can also check them at the news stand and pick them up at the end of the night. Just in case your locker isn't big enough. ;)

Yeah, it's probably best for me to limit myself to only things that will fit in the locker, lol.

I also found out the hard way a few years ago that the news stand won't hold anything edible, not even packaged candy. So locker worked best for me.

Our touring style is VERY free flowing and If we are staying through the night I will always default to the Esplanade...if you do DCA lockers, you have to worry about getting back to the locker in time before DCA closes if you wind up in DL at night...and if you wind up in DCA at the end of the night you don't have to go all the way back into DL to get your stuff when you are ready to leave.

Another excellent point!

Main street in Disneyland is usually where we get one. Disneyland is always open later than DCA so we usually end the night and take our stuff from the locker there. The lockers on Main street are more convenient than walking out to the lockers in the promenade if you want something.
