What are you doing?

DD and I have been to the movies and the mall and the craft store and eaten out more times than I care to admit. :rotfl2: We've seen The Holiday, Night at the Museum, and Dreamgirls. She went with a friend last night to see Eragon. I think today we'll see Charlotte's Web or The Pursuit of Happyness. I never, EVER thought I'd say this but I'm kind of tired of popcorn. :rotfl2:

I've also been cleaning and doing all the stuff around the house that I never seem to have time for. Today, I cleaned the fridge, did more laundry, and got one Christmas tree totally taken down & packed away (one more to go!) and the Disney Christmas village packed up.

I love having time off but since it's so chilly, it cuts down on a lot of outdoor activities.

So, what have you been up to?

Well, I am working this week, but had Tuesday off. I cleaned the fridge and pantry and put all the Christmas stuff away. It was nice to have the house back in shape.

I would be pretty bored if I was at home all week. I would have had to plan a trip somewhere or something.

We saw Charlotte's Web last weekend, and I just adored it!

:sad2: I'm not off this week. I'm a funeral director and funeral homes don't close for the holidays. ;)

Everyone else took off this week, therefore I gotta be here. Have to admit though. Rush hour traffic has been beautiful! Home in 15 minutes! :thumbsup2

Oh, I'm never bored at home. There's always something that needs to be done--even if it's just some scrapbooking or embroidery or organizing or reading. :rotfl:

I did suggest a trip for the holidays but dd really, really wanted to have Christmas at home with all our regular traditions. Since she's 16, I know we don't have too many left when it will just be our little family, so I was happy to agree to her plan.

I'm off this week. I have been visiting all the area malls. I'm really sick of that. When I get home, I try to motivate myself to clean a bit, but I haven't been too successful yet. To top it off, I've been alone since Christmas, DH had to go out of town. I'm so bored.

I'm attempting the impossible! Trying to get my kids to put stuff away and clean their rooms!!!! I'm actually doing pretty well at getting the laundry done. I have also cleaned out my laundry room closet, the pantry, and my freezer. Now....if I can just find my kitchen counter, I'll be set!!

I wish I were home this week. I have so many things that I could be doing.

DH and I are both off this week. We've been hanging out, watching movies, I've been doing more complicated cooking (it's one of my hobbies), we've been planning a vacation we have coming up...oh and catching up on our sleep! We are hosting a New Year's Eve party this year too, so are getting ready for that.

You sound like you could use a vacation to rest up from your vacation. :lmao:
Still nice to be home, better to keep busy & feel like you've accomplished something & still have some time for relaxing.

Alas, I'm at work but having trouble working, rather be home.;)

:rotfl2: Oh, trust me, I'm still spending plenty of time relaxing! I've been DIS'ing all morning and still managed to take down the tree. I am an incredible multi-tasker.

I'm sorry for all those who have to work this week. I am lucky in that I work for a college and we're closed until Jan 2. So I don't even have to feel guilty about my co-workers stuck at the office. I managed to get almost 2 full weeks off and only used 2.5 days of vacation.

Now that is a SWEET deal. :dance3:

I wish I were home this week. I have so many things that I could be doing.

Me too....and I am home and don't know where to start I have soooo many things to take care of....so here I sit....wasting time on the DIS!

We haven't left the house once...it's been absolutely blissful:)

I am off because I am a special ed teacher. I get to be home with my girls. They went to a movie with thier grandma on Tues (along with cousins) and I hit some Christmas clearance sales with a friend and went to Panera. Then yesterday they went with thier dad for a bit and I had my hair done. Today we are hanging out in our PJ's and may not even get dressed!!! I may just surf the net all day and drink coffee while the kids play with all thier new stuff. I thought about taking them to a movie or shopping but I am going to save all my $$ for our spring trip instead. They got enough movies for Christmas anyway and love playing with thier new dolls and toys...it is so nice to be home like this.

I MAY put away laundry but not PROMISING anything!!:laundy:
I did clean out toy boxes and dressers on Tues to make room for the new stuff....

Monday... Night at the Museum
Tuesday... Eragon
Wednesday... Charlotte's Web

Before each movie, they showed a FABULOUS and funny clip with frogs singing about being quiet during the movie. The frogs are from Meet the Robinsons and that clip (not the trailer) has made DD19 want to see the movie.popcorn::

I'm off and taking care of my son who is a stomach flu victim. 3rd day and feeling tentatively better although he does not want to go to Best Buy to spend his gc's so he must still feel pretty punk.

I took the week off because this is a traditionally slow week at work. I'm home with DD and a friend's DD. Tuesday we went to the mall so DD could use the GC burning a hole in her pocket. Yesterday we went to see Night at the Museum. I was going to take them bowling today, but my DD is not feeling too well today, so I might try again tomorrow. We're just watching DVD's (POTC 1 and 2, Cars) and playing PS2. A very quiet day here today.

It is 2 and I think I may take the girls bowling...

thanks for the suggestion!!

I need to stop DISing all day long!!! YIKES:banana:
