I think a lot of assumptions are being made from the detractors of the DDP that the changes being made equate to "a change back to fine dining". I do not think you will see anything significantly changed. In fact, one could argue (and several have) that there were really no significant changes to food quality or service pre-DDP to now.

Already on it! I sent one earlier this evening as I am very very happy that finally the Dining Plan is changing...no more conversations about how much money people "saved" by ordering the most expensive thing on the menu; no more quibbling over whether or not to "save" even more money by sharing food; no more children who eat like adults from the adult menu; no more gallons of milk and boxes of donuts "counting" as snack credits...in short, no more constant talk about how MUCH food someone gets for how LITTLE money.

The bottom line is, no matter how many letters are sent either way, the consumer always votes with their dollars. At the end of 2008, if Disney's numbers are up from 2006 and 2007, you will probably see a continuation of the 2008 plan with possible more changes. If those numbers are down, you may see some changes back towards the old plan.

The $$ of the majority will always outweigh the $$ of the minority. Disney is first and foremost a business with a legal responsibility to their stockholders.
