Which would you be most likely to book?

I am going to book the last cruise before the EB repo. The later in Aug. the better but will take what is there.
I can't believe my dh is letting me do this!

If we can swing it, and the dates work out for us, it would be the August Eastbound Repo.

the eastbound repo is gonna fill up fast...isn't it?? i really hope we can swing it!!

I'm tryring to maintain a positive attitude ;) and am hoping that the 2004 mayhem will not be repeated and that ALL dis folk will get what they want without sweat on Jan 31st.

Now, if you snooze and call Feb 1st, well that's a different story. :rotfl:

Not pathetic at all ... pathetic is when I thought they'd release the bookings on Jan 24th, and I was going to reschedule my oral surgery so I could handle the bookings myself. :lmao:

The TA I was going to use opens at 7am Pacific and DCL open at 8am EST, which is 5am Pacific....Is it ok to wait until 7am or should I just book it on my own and see if the TA can call and take over the booking?

How long will DCL hold dates and prices without a deposit?

July 7 nite, IF THE PRICES AREN'T OUTRAGEOUS!!! (this is for the DCL staff that read these posts)

I'd recommend doing your own booking and then request it be transferred to the TA later ... I know that some TAs will be getting up that early to do the bookings.

Typically the courtesy is 5 days I think. It might be 3 days.

now that is funny!! i think i'd prob do the same though! isn't it wrong of me to be this obsessed? i swear...this is ALL i think about anymore...i constantly am hitting refresh on my screen throughout the day to see what all the dissers are saying! it is gonna be a mighty long week!!! i'll prob be insane by the time the 31st rolls around!

I voted for Eastbound so my DD can go ... she graduates 5/24/2008 which is the day that the Westbound pulls into California (I am assuming ;) ) ... not ot mention that DH and I can't miss her graduation!!!!

no...i don't think that missing her grad would be very good! but taking her on the eastbound sounds great!!

It would be her 18th birthday present and her graduation present ... if a friend of hers from California (and her freinds family) to a 7 night cruise (hopefully the week right before the repo) DD might luck out and spend 3 weeks on the ship (and we'd join her for the 2 week repo back to FL).

Add me to the pathetic list. I'm planning to use an emergency vacation day on the 31.

I'm trying to decide if I want to allow a TA to make the booking or if I want to do it myself.:surfweb:

wow!! she would be one lucky young lady!!!

I went to bed about an hour ago, couldn't sleep, so had to come back out in the livingroom and found out that I forgot to turn my laptop off, oh no, here I am on it again. I was also thinking of taking a vacation day on Jan. 31st and have the phone at the ready, LOL!!!:lmao:

Hi Everyone,
I haven't posted much lately but I've been keeping up withe everyone's posts. We went on our first DCL cruise last summer for our sons' MAW trip and it was awesome!

We rebooked on board with a dummy date hoping DCL would be out in CA in 2008 so now we want to move our reservation. It will be a celebration that our son will finally be done with his treatment for leukemia (3 1/2 years of chemo and spinal taps) in 2008.

I read someone else's post that we can have a courtesy hold for 3 days (maybe 5) without paying. If we do that, we can apply our existing deposit to a CA cruise, right?

Depending on the price, we are even crazy enough to think about a PC cruise. Yikes! Can we transfer the deposit to the PC or only for the 7 day?

I have 2 emails to Sue Ellen at DU but I just get an automatic response that due to a high volume of emails they can't get back to me right away. Gee, I wonder why!?

One more question. In 2005 was there a price difference between the EB PC cruise and the WB cruise?

Thanks so much!

I think they started out at the same price point but then escalated based on how each cruise was selling, and eventually there may have been some discrepancies between the two.
