If you were to take a job at Disney what would you want to do?

In 20years when I retire I want to be the greeter at Beach Club. I have already warned my wife. She can't stand the geckos but we are moving down to Orlando after we retire.:goodvibes

My dream job would be to decorate for the Holidays.
I would also like to be the one who gets to sit down and push the button to make the ride go. Preferably a fun ride like Expedition Everest.

I got to drive the Friendship Boats during college and it was so much fun! I'd love to go back and do that again when I retire!

Back in the day when I was a CM at DL, I really wanted to be one of the butlers at the HM... but they wanted me in kitchen instead. If I could go and work at WDW, I'd love to be in transportation - monorail or boat (just not bus). Maybe even be on the Lake Patrol... and then I could be the one to zip around the Seven Seas Lagoon and scold those boaters who dare to move around inside their pontoon boats switching seats (like we did last month - and yes, we got scolded! ;) )

As this is not a DVC specific topic, I'm goig to move it over to the Community Board.

Bus Driver, they always hear the good rumors first :rotfl2:

I'm not sure if I could handle a "normal" park job. they have to staff 365 and all EMH. You have to get assigned, or asked to fill in some crazy hours and holidays...

I would like to be one of the CM's that hand out "Princess for the Day" certificates and magic moment fastpasses etc. I think that would be a very joyous career to have.

I am retired and realized that my Disney pay was only 4.3% of my total income last year, so I am really there for the fun of it.

My dream job would have the following title: "Freelance Internal Auditor, Devil's Advocate, and Announcer That The Emperor Is Not Wearing Any Clothing" and I would report directly to the President of WDW.

However, that position was not available when I applied, so I normally work as either Guest Relations, Ticket Sales or Turnstile Greeter at Typhoon Lagoon. And during the times when one water park has been closed I have worked as Turnstile Greeter at Epcot and the Studios as well as the Indiana Jones Theater (this year Studios Greeter).

I would love to manage one of the resorts - DVC villas preferably.

I want to be Donald or Daisy Duck. I had a sorority sister in college who was Aurora at DL... she said Donald is the shortest of the characters, and has to be under 5' tall. HEY that's me! And they are my favorite characters. I'd make an awesome character. After so many years of teaching little kids, I have lots of patience and silly gestures.

I may have missed my calling!

I'd want to work in resorts for one reason--highest guarantee that I'll be working in air conditioning in the summer.

The hubby and I talk about this every time we are there....I would want to work, first choice, hotel reservations/reservations/hotel check in. Second choice would be dispatching busses...Hubby would drive the busses or boats. Oh...to dream...:cloud9:

We have stayed at the Boardwalk Villas several times over the past 10 years . Everytime we go past the gift shop just off the lobby , I say I want to work there. There's a good view of people passing by, it's very small so not many people are in there at one time and seems very quiet and peaceful. Compared to my real job and real life, working there would be a vacation

i would like to work at tower of terror or the haunted mansion. that way you are inside and you dont have to be nice. only two places at wdw you can get away without having to be nice all the time.
