If you were on the Carnival Splendor right now...

I wouldn't be happy about it, but what could I do? Sometimes you have to make the best of a situation. Getting yourself overworked and upset will only result in you being more overworked and upset.

If it were me, I'd probably spend my time looking for somewhere to read. I always bring alot of reading material on vacations. As for the food, I wouldn't be too thrilled about Spam or Pop Tarts. On the plus side, maybe I'd lose weight too! Bathroom situation would suck, that I admit. At least they are on their way back.

I probably would grab a "blankie" from my inside cabin, a couple of pillows, find a quiet, comfortable chaise on the deck and enjoy the stars. Its hard to see the stars with all of the lights blazing and a power failure might be okay for a while. I then would plan my next cruise, figuring it isn't likely to happen for a while and marvel at the fact that this might be the first cruise where I actually lost weight.

That's exactly what I'd do...I'd probably be OK. The best part of a cruise to me is relaxing on deck with a good book, the sea breeze blowing on my face. Since I likely wouldn't be able to sleep in a stuffy room (no windows to open and no moving air), I'd probably stake out a nice comfy deck chair to sleep on. It wouldn't be the best cruise I ever took, but I'd be OK. :thumbsup2

And they are docked. CNN.com showed them coming in and docking. Welcome home!
