Given the choice between a personal chef who would prepare all of my meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients that fit my nutritional goals, and prepackaged diet food, who wouldn't choose the chef?
I do all right with food, so assuming the personal chef is off the table, I wouldn't buy prepackaged food. One of my internet buddies has a local service where she gets freshly-made food delivered to her weekly, and that wouldn't be a bad compromise, but I suspect I'd honestly prefer my own cooking.
Assuming that "magic elves come and build you a fully-equipped gym with live-in trainer in the backyard" is off the table, and have to live with the space limitations of my house, my second choice would be

Personal trainer coming to my house wouldn't work well - we have too many people and not enough space as is. I've contemplated gym memberships, but even after getting into the habit of regular exercise, I would not drive 6 miles to the closest gym to work out at any of the times I have available before or after work, and when I'm at work, I want to get my work done and go home. So something that I can do at home without a big clunky piece of equipment is ideal.
MIL wants a treadmill. Unfortunately, cheap treadmills are pretty much all junk, and the budget doesn't stretch for the $500+ ones.
