If you were going to plan a week-long trip for just one park

Which park would you visit? How many days would you spend in the park and what would you do? And what else would you do besides visiting the park?

I don’t see spending more than three full days in MK or Epcot, and more than 2 in HS or AK. What else would I do? Visit other parks probably, lol.

I don't get it. If you had time and a ticket, why would you limit it to one park? Disney doesn't sell a multi day one park ticket.

Hollywood Studios is my favorite park but the reason I go are 2 girls 18 and 10 and they would want the Magic Kingdom so we would go there and you could easily do 4 days there.

Magic Kingdom
Days one though three: Run furiously from FP ride attraction to FP ride attraction. Eat at walk-ups for lunch and dinner. Stay for fireworks.

Day four: Skip the rides. Walk through the shops on Main Street.
Look up at the 2nd and 3rd floor windows. Take pictures of them (you can search for the backgound stories of those names later, too).
Stroll through the other Lands and just "be there...in the moment".
Make believe that you are in the future or are in a real frontier town, or on a African safari or in a N African bazaar.
Again...look up and around you. Disney has put incredible details into everything, so take the time to enjoy them.
(okay - look for Hidden Mickeys, too)
Stop to listen to any street performers.
Engage the Cast Members (to the degree that they may be able to, given their job). Check out their name tag which includes their hometown.
Take pictures of various details. Light fixtures, trash cans, pictures, and other small detail which most frantic guests miss.
Listen to the music that accompanies almost every square inch of the Park. (Such as the Jungle Cruise queue).

Day five and six: Take the Monorail from TTC to the Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian and Contemporary. Walk around each one.
Catch the bus from MK to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Walk through the amazing lobby to the savanna view areas.
Then, take take the bus back to MK and catch the boat from MK to Wilderness Lodge and walk around it as well.

Day seven: Go to Disney Spring and buy the stuff that you didn't get during the previous days.
Then...start dreaming about your next visit.

We basically did this last year. We did five days at MK and one day at Epcot. We had a resort day at the Beach Club and enjoyed Stormalong Bay. I would be perfectly happy with skipping Epcot. Next time, we definitely need to go back to one of the Monorail resorts though. We love Stormalong Bay, but miss seeing the castle from our resort.

Magic Kingdom is our favorite park. We loved staying at the Polynesian and could easily go back and forth between the two places.

DH really loves Epcot, but I don’t see him going there every day. We used to love Hollywood Studios, but we aren’t thrilled with the changes.

YES! This is why I asked this question.....because I’m gearing up for my 5th or 6th trip and I wish I could just make myself slow down and not rush around so much. If I were only going to one park for the WHOLE time I think I’d give myself the time to just do all these things you said.

That is awesome! I think my six year old’s choice would be EPCOT or AK but I definitely want to do a trip for just those two at some point.

It's easy to get caught up in the frenzy when you think of the amount of money you are spending - especially with an on-property stay.

Yeah, I think that’s a big part of it. We only get there every few years so if we want to do a ride at any point in the next couple years it has to be this trip. Not like we’ll be back in a few months.....
