if you were doing 1 character meal

My DH & I went to Garden Grille and Tusker House a few weeks ago.

We enjoyed both but Tusker House is on our must do for next trip!

Enjoy your trip!!

Is this a surprise trip? I would just ask the kids!

We've never been, but I hear 1900 Park Fare dinner is hilarious with Cindy's step sisters...especially if that 19 yr old happens to be a boy. They may try to win his favor and get a marriage proposal!

I really enjoy the 1900 PF breakfast with Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger. My girlfriend really likes CM for breakfast because she gets to see each of the Fab-5.

We personally stay away from the dinners because the food tends to be pretty lousy at all of them, in our opinion. We stick with the breakfasts because the food is pretty standard and decent at them and you can't really go wrong with whichever one you choose. The only restaurant where we like the character lunch/dinner better than the breakfast is at Akershus.

our favorite so far has been Cape May Cafe breakfast. The food was very good and the character interaction was excellent...we were able to see the characters twice at breakfast and never felt rushed.

It is worth doing one for the experience. We always go to O'hana and Akershus for breakfast, this is our happy medium, kids get characters and parents like the food! Breakfast is generally good, dinner is just ok. The only one we would never go back to was CM for dinner.

That's a tough one...do you prefer breakfast or dinner, which characters do you like?

One that we do every trip without fail is the Tusker House breakfast. The food is great!

Garden Grill or Tusker House if only doing one. It depends a lot on what characters you want to see. We personally do not care for Chef Mickeys for both food and noise level.

We like 1900 Park Fare Breakfast if we're over on the MK side

or

Cape May Cafe breakfast if on the Epcot side

Our faves are Ohana and Crystal Palace.

What characters do your kids like? That's a great way to decide!

I agree and would add Ohana to the list.:thumbsup2 All 3 have good food, good character interaction, and not too babyish for your older kids. And Mickey is at all 3 meals!::MickeyMo

As a kid, I loved Chef Mickeys. It was the only character dining we would do!
Last summer I tried four character dinings...

Akershus (I know I spelled that wrong, sorry!) is my new favourite, I loved the meal and the Princess interaction was great! I will definitely be doing it again.

CRT is still an amazing experience, and I think it's one that you should try at least once. Everything about it is just so magical.

1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickeys are still a lot of fun, but I find that buffet-style meals don't work as well with small groups of adults if you want to meet all the characters, so I found them quite stressful. As a kid, though, 1900 is SUCH a fun experience, so I would probably recommend that! To be honest, I don't remember the food from any of the buffet experiences, just the interaction. So it depends on which is more important for you!
