If you were at DL during Veteran's Week last November (Nov. 10-15) or that week during a previous year, please share your experience with me as far as crowd levels and so on. We're planning a trip for that week this year and would like to know what to expect.

Thanks so much!

We were there from Nov 9 thru Nov 15. It was my first time so I don't have anything to compare it with but we did not have any problems. We took the advice from these boards and used Fastpass for Splash Mountain and the Haunted Mansion. We did not ride rides if the wait time was over 30 minutes, if they were we came back later. We rode Toy Story with a 25 minute wait and Nemo with 25 minutes wait twice. We rode everything that was on our list.

I have gone for a day-trip during that time several different years since my birthday is on Veteren's day. I didn't answer at first since I couldn't remember how the crowds were specifically. But saying that, since it doesn't stand out in my mind, the crowds must have been okay. I'm sure the 3 day weekend will be more crowded than a typical november day but I'm thinking the rest of the week is probably fine. We went on the 13th this year which I think was a thursday? and I don't think we had to wait in any huge lines. But we were also with DS3 who wouldn't have been able to wait for too long so we stuck to things with shorter lines. Not sure how the lines for the big rides were since DS couldn't go on them. Hope that helps.

We were there on Nov 8-10 (fri-mon) 2008 Veteran's Day weekend. It was crowded, but manageable. We followed the tips from here, used FPs as much as possible, and were able to avoid most of the long lines.

As I recall, several factors played into the crowd levels:
- Veteran's Day brings out a lot of the locals and people like us using a long weekend (our kids had 4 days off).
- Bat's Day was this weekend and brought in more people (though it seemed like most of those participating stayed at the DL park)

However, some factors I think kept some people away:
- The holiday decorations weren't up entirely.
- Taping of the holiday parade may have kept some people away too.

We were at DLR over Veteran's Day in 2005 and one day DL park actually reached capacity. It was also in the mid-80s that day too.

We were there 2 years ago on Vets Day. It was pretty busy and there were threats of having to limit entry like they do on really busy times but we got in and made the most of it. Was extremely crowded on Main St. but the rest of the park along with CA was very doable. Just plan for bigger crowds than normal.

This year we arrived in Anaheim on Veterans day. We didn't actually go in the park, but based on the crowds on the street I'd say it was pretty crowded. However the days following Veterans day were perfect. The only lines longer than 10 minutes were for Peter Pan, Storybook Canal Boats, and Nemo. Basically rides that are just slow loaders. Space Mountain was routinely a 10 minute or less wait. We actually ended up using quite a few of our Fast Passes as souvenirs. :cool1:

We were there during that time. The crowds weren't nearly as bad as I had worried they might be. We still had a wonderful time!
