Reviving this thread because, um, I can't find my pocket-sized digital camera. And we leave for DLR in six days.
It's our "old" digicam, a Canon Elph that fits nicely on my hip in its belt-loop-enabled case. I was planning on bringing it into the parks instead of our newer, fancier, BIGGER, digicam. The pictures won't be as good, but I won't have to lug around the big camera in our backpack. But if I don't find it, lugging I will be.
So, it hasn't been used much in the last couple of years (since we got said bigger-better digicam), and I wanted to start charging its (proprietary) batteries to see if they still work at holding a charge.
The camera is supposed to be in its case, in the Entertainment Center cabinet, next to the box it came in, which is where I'm supposed to be able to find the instruction manual and the (proprietary) battery charger. The manual is in the box (which makes sense, since we never used it much), but the charger is not in the box.
So, digicam, case, and charger are missing. Which probably means we took them all on a trip (because we would have needed the charger). I've checked every cabinet in that entertainment center (found some other long-lost stuff while I was in there), and the other obvious if-I-put-it-somewhere-where-would-I-put-it locations. I looked in all of the cabinets of a sideboard we use to store all kinds of stuff on a daily basis; didn't find it there, though I did find the check my DW gave me on my birthday, made out to a music store, to pay for guitar lessons I had been wanting to start. I spent all night last night looking, instead of watching what wound up being an awesome football game, and I don't miss Monday Night Football for much. I'm becoming obsessed with finding this #$%^&*! camera!
Hmmm... maybe I need to check all of the pockets in our luggage. Maybe my DW took it on her business trip in July, and it's in her (still not yet fully unpacked) luggage! Maybe Tinkerbell is messing with me. Maybe I'm being Punk'd and this will all be on TV next week while we're in the parks. Maybe it grew jealous of the bigger-better camera, got lonely from nobody using it anymore, and ran away from home.
If you were a lost digicam/case/charger, where would you be?
