If you went to a 70’s disco party, what are you wearing and what’s your 70’s hairstyle?

Well, I was a kid in the disco era (we learned the Hustle in PE at school). I would have probably worn a matching vest and pants with a long sleeved blouse. Hair would have been in an approximation of Farrah Fawcett’s feathered hair. I made a lot of my own clothes as a young teen. People where I lived didn’t do the stereotypical flashy disco look.

Would you go to a modern disco party?

I was wearing something polyester, and my hair, neatly combed. Disco was hot while I was in college and as I got out on my own as an adult. Well, it's still hot because most resorts still have Discos.

I went to Disco parties when I lived out in Colorado back in '78 to '82. A place called Washington's in Ft Collins was an awesome place to dance. I even won a disco dance there. If I posted pics you would know what I wore. My hair was definitely the Farrah Fawcett look. :) :dancer:

I had a friend who was a dance instructor. We used to go out to a disco place just to dance. It was so much fun!

I still love all that music, though at first, I had a shirt that said, “Disco Stinks” (really another second word). I couldn’t find it anywhere in the house and finally realized my father had thrown it away, lol.

I remember learning the hustle in gym class as well! Long straight hair, bellbottoms. That was fashion!

My son learned the Hustle from this video (before a trip to Pop Century). It was hysterical (if anyone wants to try it!).
