What restaurant would you pick (1 ts credit please) and not Le Cellier, that's planned for our anniversary:) I really want to impress my dh with Disney (since he's not into like I am) and every time he's come its been on a serious budget and having burgers and pizza. This time we are getting the dining plan (loved it when dd and I went!). So what restaurant would you pick if you wanted to impress (but don't forget we are bringing kids too....) Thanks! :sunny:

I would take my DH to Boma. He would never expect it at WDW! I think he would be impressed. Also Raglan Road. My Dh loves a good beer, and I think he would enjoy the atmosphere. I really want to try that bread pudding and cream dessert they have there. It sounds delicious!

Other ideas, Kona Cafe, Alfredos, Spoodles...

What if I said he's really a big red meat kind of guy, lol?

I would say 'Ohana. It's one my favorite places to eat, the food is great (I especially love the new menu) and there is lots and lots of red meat!! The atmosphere is fun for kids with hula hooping, chasing coconuts with brooms and a limbo. Plus the restaurant overlooks the Magic Kingdom, what's not to love?? Here's the link to the menu, in case you are unfamiliar with 'Ohana: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_oh.htm Hope this helps!

my dh would love it, but not sure the kids would like it? Is there another menu for kids? They'd like the skewers but that's about it:( Other than that, it would be fun! Oh and this would be the when we start our vacation, the first day at disney:)

I am taking my DH to Kona Cafe for our anniversary. He hasn't been there before, my son and I left him home last summer. They have a steak Terryaki that my son said was amazing, I had the macadamia crusted mahi mahi (and will get it again this summer!). It's not fancy, you would not feel out of place with kids there. If you time your ADR right, you can catch the fireworks on the beach afterwards.

For some reason men do seem to love Ohana. I think that is a good suggestion. They do not have a "kids menu" exactly, but they will bring more kid friendly items if you ask. My niece has gotten chicken fingers, PBJ, and fries before.

My DH loves Ohana as well!! My DD still talks about how her daddy ate a whole skewer of shrimp (this was before the menu changed)! LOL!!

Definately 'Ohana!!! Men seem to love this place. It's my DH's favorite WDW restaurant (aside from California Grille which is 2 TS).

Well, I think we've decided and we will be using 2 ts credits (we'll just do pizza one night)

Jiko's
Chef mickey's
50's Primetime (maybe want to do Fantasmic pkg)
1900 Park Fare
Le Cellier
Liberty Tree Tavern?? or Concourse Steakhouse

Does anyone like Jiko's? The menu looks pretty good!

I would definitely look into California Grill. It's an upscale restaurant with an amazing view of the MK and great food, but it's also not necessarily stuffy.

'Ohana is a great suggestion as well for a meat-lover, although I personally prefer Kona Cafe. What about Whispering Canyon Cafe for a fun, rowdy meal?

One of the biggest Ahhhs I got from my OH (it was his first time at WDW) was booking a table at 'Ohana and eating and seeing wishes at the same time. He loved the steak as well.

ok, now I'm replying to myself. I think Jiko's is out. I don't think my kids will sit through a 2 hour dinner:( Hmmmm, back to square one. kids don't want to do ohana :(

Ahhh, do the kids know about the coconut races and hoola dancing, the view of the firewaorks and the kids menu. I have seen a lot of children there having a great time.
