If you put it in writing, you have to deliver… right? A Dec. 2011 PTR

Okay, collective (brilliant) minds have come together. Here is the list of what I'm going to make this weekend:

1-10" Alice
1-10" Jiminy Cricket
1-3" Mickey Mouse
1-4" Minnie Mouse
a variety of snowflakes ranging from 1"-6"
a variety of Mickey silhouettes ranging from 1"-6"
Phrase: There is no place like Disney for the Holidays! 6" letters that will be red with gold trim
Phrase: May all your holiday dreams come true! 6" letters that will be red with gold trim

I'm SO excited to get cutting!!!!

[I'll be sure to take pictures to share!]

Eeep! Don't say that!!!

So far, the worst TP is predicting is a 5. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi Jenn!
I'm popping in from the Lines FB page to say "Hello". Thank you for helping get the group going. You will be proudly displaying your D&B bag in no time! :thumbsup2

Thanks and welcome aboard!

I'm so excited so many folks have shown interest in getting healthy (and using Mickey as the perfect excuse!)

The only downside is that I have to buy a scale now! :rotfl2:

Ya know what? With my trip being so late in the year... I'll be around to see everyone work to their goal!

How cool is that?

Guess who purchased her first box of Truvia sweetner last night???

<-- This guy!

It's not too bad in coffee, which is what I was afraid of. It is considerably stronger than sugar. I used two packets for 21 oz of liquid (17oz of coffee, 3.5oz of milk...) and it's enough flavor without being ridiculous.

BTW - last night made me realize why some animal parents eat their young. My kids had a TERRIBLE day. :sad2: To top it off, I couldn't get to sleep. DD2 crawls into my bed at 1a. I put her back in her bed around 1:30a. DS4 crawls in bed at 2. DH throws him back around 2:15. BOTH kids wandered in at 3:15 and refused to leave my room.
brick-wall-017.gif
I told both of them to get out, and DS screamed at me that he wasn't moving.

[We interrupt this vent to remind everyone that I've recently had 4 holes poked in my belly... it physically HURT having a crowded bed...]

I gave up and went to sleep in the recliner because I was in pain. Then I hear DH insisting that DS leave him alone.

Next thing I know, is that BOTH kids are now WIDE awake... at 3:45a.
unhappy-033.gif
Both kids take turns "checking" on me in the recliner. DD even crawled up to sit in my lap at one point. She also elbowed me in the gut when she climbed out of the chair.

Long story short... I've not been to bed yet.

And my day just keeps getting better...

Oh jeez! I'm having a 'week' too! Hang in there! I've had those elbow gut punches and they hurt even without having 4 holes from surgery!!

Hope your day does get better. I walked in to work this morning and my boss says "You've cried today." :sad1: I really haven't cried but it was a crappy morning and for some reason, my eyes are 'watery.' :confused3

STAY AWAY FROM THE CHOCOLATE. :guilty: Think about a small reward for getting through the stressful, sleepless nights with something for your trip! Or set your $$ back to go towards D&B purse!!! You will have earned it!! :cheer2:

Thanks for the push...

I at least acheived some slight vindication from an ally, so that helped.

I just want my chair and my blankie and a nap!

Good for you! :thumbsup2 I just ate a very small less than 2 oz. sausage roll worth a whopping 7 pts! Oops...

But I bet it tasted really good.

I caved for "dinner" last night... and I did eat late...

I had an excuse though...

I got home, DH took the kids up to the Y for swimming, and I passed out in his chair. I set the alarm on my phone, but I managed to turn it off. I woke up at 6:30p. I needed to be at a photoshoot at 6:30. :headache:

Luckily it was close, and I still got what I needed out of the first game. Then I had to sit through the second game of the night and stay until the end of that one. By the time it was all said and done, I left the gym a little after 9p.

Went straight to Subway and ordered the worst possible sandwich... but my goodness was it tasty! :teeth: :sad2:

On a positive note, I was chatting with the writer for the paper I've been working for. Well, he mentioned that the game he booked me for on Saturday, he's intending on doing an 8 page spread of images!!! :faint:

And they'll be mine! Alllllll miiiiiinnnnneeee!

And if the team wins the game, he's going to beef it up to a 12 page spread!

He got me my press kit for the weekend too. There was a pass to the hospitality room AND a parking pass.

I'm here! I'm joining the fun! We are heading to WDW the same week as you. :)

I totally understand the health issue thing. I have battled health issues for years and had my gallbladder removed 9 years ago. I was not as 'lucky' as you ;) I had an emergency gallbladder surgery. I was battling the stones for almost 2 years before it finally got stuck, jammed, tried to move but couldn't!! and I ended up in ER and finally got the sucker removed! Since then I have battled one thing and then another including fracturing my spine, and doing major nerve damage. I am slowly getting better and though I gained a lot of weight because of bed rest for almost 8 months and then crappy eating because I found out I had some serious allergies (undiagnosed till 6 years ago!) I am now losing weight and getting healthy too!

This is a quickie post, but WELCOME! :wave2: Glad to have you along!

We can commiserate and swap bedrest stories in a bit!

Before I had my surgery, I asked my amazing hair stylist friend to come over and do up my roots before the procedure, because I was sure not going to feel up to it for a bit afterward. (bending over to rinse and whatnot…)

Long story short, I felt like poo and she got the flu so it didn’t happen in the time we were hoping for.

Fast forward 2 weeks to last night.

I love my girl… she’s been my buddy since high school. However, she never learned to have a filter.

HER: “HI!!! You DO need your hair done! Look at those roots!” Makes sense she’d notice them first. Flat footed she’s 6ft… but in every true Amazon woman lies the insane need to wear extremely high heels…

ME: “I know… I told you it was getting bad!”

HER: “You look good! You don’t look pregnant anymore!”
surprised-038.gif

Yeah… she just said that.

What was even more depressing about the conversation was that I felt 7 months pregnant. Due to an extremely busy day on Wednesday, I missed two doses of ibuprofen. And BOY did I pay for it on Thursday.

Because I had been up and running Wednesday, didn’t have much sleep the night before, and had trouble sleeping that night, my belly got really swollen from all the extra work. My pants barely fit. My top was tight – in a shirt that is normally pretty loose around my belly. Stupid surgery…

I made sure to take all my ibuprofen yesterday and ta-da! I’m normal (as I can be) today. Everything is in its place. :teeth:

I swore a long time ago that I should never be able to see my belly over my [*ahem…*] shelf, unless I was pregnant.

I know that I have work to do to get where I want to be. I also have reasonable expectations that I’m never going to be size Giselle.

I still have a long way to go to get into my favorite pants. And I’ll be there in about 17 lbs. ;)

Then of course she tells me this conversation over and iChat and I say great, it means you are losing weight :rolleyes1 bad bad bad thing to say

That was the face I imagined she made after I typed that, I guess being distracted with making pumpkin pancakes really dulls the sensitivity setting

Needless today I now know the correct response and will do better next time:headache:
