If you put it in writing, you have to deliver… right? A Dec. 2011 PTR

Hey! Read the article finally and it was great!!

I have a question on the double FP's to make sure I understand... I'm not sure how much riding we will do during the party but 'just in case...'

but can I use that ticket as well as our regular park pass ticket to get double FP's? Both will be active for MK that day, right?
I dont' think that they "know" that you left with the original ticket. That ticket will be active in MK for that day and so it should work for double fast passes.
EXACTLY! Since you don't have to scan the card to exit, once it is activated for the day, it can be used to get FPs up to park close (I'm assuming the park close part). When you reenter with your MVMCP ticket, TECHNICALLY you will be holding 2 active tickets per person. :teeth:

The party ticket WILL NOT be tied to your KTTW card so it can't be linked to the same person. You can stock up on FPs during the day, then grab a few more between 4p & 7p. You may not think you'll need them, but last year at MNSSHP the kids wanted to ride Peter Pan after the 2nd parade. The line was 40 minutes. Luckily, my 4YO flirted with some girls that were actually CMs attending the party on their day off, and they handed us a stack of 30 good-for-any ride in MK prior to our departure day. We used the FPs to get right on. ::yes::

Whew! You reminded me NOT to put our ME tags on our luggage "just for fun" as I was thinking of doing. Wouldn't want them to whisk our luggage off to the Poly, when we're spending the first night at HRH!
Yeah, that would be bad! I figure I could have ME get them, but why mess with it? It's not like I'll have the kids to deal with too.

I just spent the last 2 hours on pinpics.com trying to figure out what pins I need to complete some sets for my kids...

I counted 51 pins needed to complete the ones that I can realistically look for. And E laughed at me for stockpiling 75 pins already! :scratchin: I may pick up 50 more, just to be safe... and what's left over, I'll use to bribe my kids after I get back.

So I laid everything on my bed that I'm planning to ship ahead... and I got out the box I'm going to put it in.

Guess what?

IT DOESN'T FIT!!!! :rotfl2:

And I don't know why?? I only have 3 strings of lights, Duffy the Bear, 6 Mickey gel clings, Mickey ear headbands, 24 suction cup hooks, a tree, ornaments, pins, presents, a table runner, a tree skirt, 6 lighted ribbons... :teeth:

Darn the luck!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am pretty sure I will be experiencing the same thing. I think that is why I have yet to really take a look at what I have to pack.

DH is in the Christmas spirit early this year so we pulled all our decorations out of the attic. He also took the initiative to pull down some old empty boxes of junk that he no longer owns.

One of those boxes is bigger than the one I was planning to use!

We got our tree up and the kids got a little over zealous... they broke a string of garland, I didn't have the patience to put the whole thing back together, but I took the initiative to take the small gold beads off and string a smaller link of garland for our little tree that's going to Disney! :teeth:

I also got some major shopping done in the last 2 days (yes, I shopped on Thanksgiving...) and all my clothes were purchased in a SMALLER SIZE! ::yes:: It was great! I got a couple of cute tops and a vest and a super cute sweater coat. My plan is to take the sweater in lieu of a coat - hoping for warmer weather than they encountered last year! :rotfl2: OH! I also picked up a super cute pair of pj pants! Purple polka-dotted pj pants! They had pink ones but I couldn't reach the bar that had my size and I felt bad and didn't want to be a PITA for the poor souls who had to work Thursday.

My other big purchase was a Cricut Expression. And while I really DO need to use it to cut the vinyl for my trip, I had to promise to keep it sealed until Christmas. Besides, it'll give me an excuse to hang out with a friend of mine so we can catch up.

:woohoo: for DH being in the Christmas spirit, smaller clothes, and the new Cricut! AND for finding a bigger box!! :cool1:

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I totally agree!!! Those are all things to be thankful for!!!

Thanks girls! We had a nice weekend altogether. DH and I ended up with really bad head colds/sinus infections, but we survived!

DH and I also celebrated our anniversary early yesterday and today. I had an assignment for the paper in the afternoon. Once that debacle was over, I rushed to edit and make the delivery. Then we dropped the kids off at my parents house and drove to Indy. We spent about 4 hours at Dave and Busters then headed downtown to the hotel we booked on hotwire AS we drove south! :rotfl2:

We got to the registration desk a little after midnight and the guy working was super nice, asked how we were doing and I told him we'd been out playing games (we nabbed enough tickets to get Disney Universe for the Wii :thumbsup2) and that we were staying over to celebrate our anniversary AND catch the Colts game today. He upgraded us to a suite! And it was S.W.E.E.T.!!! It was a one bedroom with a king, had a living room, 2 closets, and a fantastic view of Lucas Oil Stadium.

Sad thing is... we got all our stuff upstairs and then in old fogie style... we passed out from sheer exhaustion of the day! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I woke up early and watched The Firm on A&E and let DH sleep. We've both been running ragged that I just couldn't bear to wake him from the first decent night sleep we've had in a while.

I finally tossed him out at 10 and we took off for a very busy day. We had to make a return at Children's Place in the mall then we had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. Ordered a pizza to bring back home and have for lunch tomorrow then we were off to the game. DH's favorite player of all time got inducted into the Colts "Ring of Honor". Even though we lost, we got to see Marvin and we also got to witness the awesome power of Cam Newton. He's a rookie and he's got a rocket for an arm... and he's SUPER accurate!

Then DH took me to Cold Stone. Did you know they have chocolate cake batter ice cream????? :faint: NOM!

OH! And in celebration of the extreme near-edness of our trip  I thought I'd share what we've got cooking for our trip.

We've made a couple of adjustments from the last schedule I have on my computer.

Here is our plan to the best of my knowledge:

Sunday 12/11 - E and mom arrive at BWI from US/UOA. E sends mom to drop bags at concierge, E checks in and gets our KTTW cards. I called and had it noted on our reservation that the packages we are sending ahead are TOP SECRET and for the CMs to do their best NOT to let mom know we are up to something!!!

I arrive at MCO ~ 9:15a, grab my bags, and then hop on ME and grab my KTTW card, praying our room is ready to go. If the room is ready, I'm going to go up and decorate feverishly. We've planned Mickey silhouettes and snowflakes on our doors, white vine lights on our balcony/patio, matching bed runners on each bed, a phrase and Disney character cut outs over each bed (between the bedposts), lighted ribbon lights wrapped around the headboard posts, small Christmas tree, table runner for the desk, stockings on the armoire, snowflakes and Disney characters on the bathroom mirrors, Christmas plushes on the beds and couch, and plug in E's iPod that will be pre-set to Christmas tunes.

IF for some reason the room isn't ready, I'm to meet up with the girls in EP, have lunch, and magically sprout a sinus headache/migraine/feign a bellyache and need to run back to our room to get my medicine that I inconveniently left in my suitcase. :headache: THEN I'll decorate and use the lame excuse that I got held up getting my bags/boat was late... something. =)

Monday 12/12 - DHS and dinner at Sci-Fi

Tuesday 12/13 - MK in the morning, late lunch at the Wave and MVMCP

Wednesday 12/14 - Backstage Magic tour and EP after that, dinner at Teppan Edo

Thursday 12/15 - AK and EP with dinner at Garden Grill

Friday 12/16 - MK starting with a pre-RD breakfast at CP and dinner at Ohana followed by a Dole Whip from Captain Cooks and watching the fireworks from the beach. Mom isn't a fan of the loud booms from fireworks, so we're going to use earplugs on the party night and then make our fireworks viewing from a safe distance on another night.

Saturday 12/17 - EP in the morning plus the Behind the Seeds tour. The girls will enjoy their departing meal at Sunshine Seasons, my departure meal is at Biergarten at 2:45p. They have to be ready to board ME around 1:30-ish, I don't have to be back at BWI to board the bus until 5:30p

That's all I've got for now. I've got almost everything in the box. I'm set to cut the vinyl this week. I'll most likely pack it in my carry-on or suitcase - it'll be flat enough to survive the journey.

I just love all of your decorating plans! E's mom is going to be so touched and who wouldn't be excited to be staying in a room at Disney with all the added touches!! :goodvibes

I know I've said this a kajillion times but I can't wait to see all of the pictures you will take!!!

I can't believe you are under the 2 week mark!!! :cool1:

a few small corrections...

Before my mum gets to WDW I have a few other surprises that have not been discussed

1st- Two days before we leave for US next Wednesday my mom will receive a package delivered by a small plush owl that will have a gray sweatshirt in it that says muggle in blue and a Griffendor scarf.

2nd- Once we grab our bags at the airport a limo will take us to the Royal Pacific Hotel

3rd- On our Seaworld day I am going to try and make a reservation at the Shark Reef Restaurant. I was going to dine with Shamu, but they still have not started that back up. Also that day at SeaWorld my mom and I will be doing a backstage tour of the penquins :woohoo: which she knows about

4th- We will be attending the DIZapalooza out last night at US any one else planning to attend that Saturday?

5th- Sunday morning our limo will be back to whisk us away to the Boardwalk Inn

6th- There will be presents waiting for her to open at the ends of the beds, all Jenn and I have to do is now keep her from buying a lanyard until the next day saying there is much better stuff at DHS

7th- Tuesday night we will open all the gifts form santa and Jenn will finally get to open her gifts from last year LOL

8th- My mom and I don't have to back at the board walk until 3pm :)

Kwitch - Have a great trip at the World! I hope you'll be taking lots of pictures and starting a TR on your return!

Thanks PIO!

I've been running around like a crazy woman since school started that the waiting period has FLOWN by!

Both E and I have shipped our boxes of decorations. I think her's totalled about 18 lbs and mine were close to 22 lbs!!! :faint:

I did decide to take my tripod along so I can get the room shots easily. I'm 30% sure that I'll take it with me to MVMCP for nighttime Christmas decoration shots. Since we'll be in MK that day, I'm going to look into renting a locker for the day. I'll have to figure out the dimensions of the lockers to see if my tripod will even fit!

On a side note, once our trip is over, I get to plan another one! BUT... it's not for me. One of my childhood friends is taking her family for their first trip in June and she's asked me to help her plan since she's not been since 1999. They booked on Wednesday using the 30% off deal that was released. I've already got her reading Passporter and the UG for trips with kids. It's going to be a lot of fun! I'm just jealous she'll get to ride the dual Dumbos!

OH! OH! OH!

I'm not sure if you have all kept up on the AK character news... Jiminy, Pocohontas, and Lilo are all out (supposedly as of tomorrow 12/4). They are adding the characters from UP! very soon - they are to meet near Flame Tree BBQ. Russell and Carl have been confirmed, no word on Dug yet. AK also discontinued the RD truck shows.

I've also heard that Angel from the Lilo & Stitch series is rumored to be added to AK as well. No date set on that one though.
