We purposely plan it that way, PIO!

We look at hours and crowd calendars and try to match up our park days to where we want to eat! We try to minimize our travel time to and from food and it worked REALLY well in September.

If we end up going somewhere (resort meal) after a park closes, we aim for at least 1 hour after park close for the ADR to allow for travel time.

I can't wait to see how everything pans out.

E also booked our Backstage Magic tour AND Behind the Seeds tour yesterday. This is going to be one heckuva trip!

Okay, we revised yesterday to remove La Hacienda and add Cape May. E revised yet again, because she was bored and checked ressies for Garden Grill and came across a ressie for 8p on the night we wanted! It's a little late, BUT WE'RE IN! We'll keep checking to see if we can get our hands on an earlier time over the course of the next few months, but we're glad to be able to get that last ressie!

We also made a time change for Sci-Fi Dine... DHS is not supposed to have F! that night, therefore, Charaterpalooza at the Animation Studio will be in full swing that night. E really wants to hit this up (me, too) and had we kept our original ADR, we would have missed it. It was a great catch on her part - we would have been very angry at ourselves if we would have blown that!

The changes are minimal, but I've notated them in green.

Characterpalooza is a MASS character meet and greet at DHS in the Animation Studio on non-F! nights.

We saw a laundry list of characters in a little over an hour there... Sometimes rare characters (like Max, Goofy's son, he was spotted this week there) pop out.

We saw Mr & Mrs Incredible (Frozone came out later) , Mulan, Snow Queen, Sorcerer Mickey, Pooh, Mary Poppins, Mr. Penguin, pocohontas and Meeko, Jafar, Mr. Smee, Pluto, Minnie, Chip and Dale... that's it. They run the characters in 2 shifts. The first group comes out @ 4:50, next group 30 min later, the first group comes out @ at 5:50. It's really neat.

AWESOME! My kids would love this! I know you said the characters are random but definitely don't want to miss a chance to see some we don't normally get to! We are also doing DHS on a non F! night so thanks for the heads up! I hope it can happen!

So... thanks to the chat room "Lines" through touring plans, I found out that there was a report on here that said that some of the December blackouts at EP were starting to open up.

I immediately got on the horn to E and guess what?!? We got Garden Grill at 6:15 as opposed to 8!!! That means more shopping time at DTD!!!! YAY!

We are still trying to move O'Hana up a bit, but to no avail. I trust in the vacation gods that it will all work out though.

I've also decided that since I've not successfully made it up to the gym in ages (and because of my stupid knee) that since my road is blocked off due to construction, I can walk up and down our road, with the kids, and not have to worry about being run over. If I do the full "loop" (down and back) it's 2 miles. Not a bad little walk if you ask me! I can also push the kids in the stroller for weight resistance!

I can't remember if I told you or not, but my DH was the same way.

His parents didn't have much when he was growing up so Disney was always "too expensive" or "just for kids" so it made the place unappealing. I knew that he wouldn't be interested in the stuff that we all enjoy (at first) so I plastered him with stuff that he'd like... all the secret little "extras" and legends about the place that make it so cool. About a day and a half before our first trip (as a family) down there, he just blerted out "I can't wait to get there!"

After hour 2 at CSR, he was ready to rebook.

I knew I couldn't get him with the "magic" side of everything - I had to tap into what he found interesting and apply that to the parks.

Now he's a resort snob and hooked on Disney.

No he haven't told me that before. We stayed at POP & All Star Movies and DH couldn't stand them. We looked online at the villa's and now he's hooked. He's a hotel snob and he's never stayed in anything over a value. lol.

He still prefers Universal Studios to Disney but at least he's coming around a bit.
