Discovered you can use tea bags in the pod holder, not only the expensive 18 for $5 kind made for these machines, but regular old single serving tea bags. I picked up a bunch of 50% off tea bags at Target today (on sale because they were Christmas teas)... and some Tazo multipack and Celestial Tea packs for $2.14 for 20. I put the bag in the pod holder took off the tag and pressed the 7 ounce selection. It came out great... if you own a Home Cafe' and have the specialty pod holder (one with small hole, not mesh screen)... then use that instead taste even better. Throw some ice in the cup before brewing for instant glass of ice tea...
Also Target has the Juan Valdez one cup maker on sale for $29.99, use to be 60, and his multipack of like 200 pods for only 14.99 instead of 30.

Now if Starbucks would only make cofee pods... yum!!

Also put the cream/sugar in mug before brewing, makes the sugar melt better. :D

My DH got me one of these coffee makers for Christmas - Love it! But I would like some flavored coffee pods! -

Unfortunately it seems they only make Vanilla and Hazelnut in the pods, no matter what brand you get. You can order Cappacinco pods from HomeCafe.com though. There is also a site online that shows you how to make your own.

I just want to caution anyone who might want to try using pods from another manufacturer in their machines or making your own pods. This will void your waranty on the machine. Plus, there is the added danger that the machine could explode, spewing hot water all over you. The machines are designed to take a pod of exact size and dimension in order for the machine to seal properly. And the machines use pressurized steam to brew that cup of coffee.

My DH bought me a Senseo for Christmas. It makes a good cup of coffee but it's killing me that I cannot use my regular coffee in it. The machine came with 2 bags of 18 pods and he gave me 2 additional bags of pods. The bags cost $7 each! And it takes 2 pods to make a single mug of coffee! I couldn't take it back because he seemed to be so excited about getting it for me (he knows how much I enjoy a GOOD cup of coffee). *sigh* I won't be retiring my drip coffee maker anytime too soon.
